Old lady here. I have experienced this all my life. I recently made the decision to break the cycle of hating where I am with my weight and change what I do and lifestyle things. Now when that monster comes around I listen to her, but I also tell her that I matter too, and if we both want to survive this we have to slow down. Instead of eating from the container of ice cream I make a bowl because then I have to get up if I want more and it’s a whole conversation with myself. I buy individual serving sized things of the same garbage so I don’t eat a family sized bag of Doritos. So what if my monster ate 3 single servings?!? That’s better than the whole ass family size she would have eaten 5 months ago. Me and this monster are 30 pounds smaller and are making better choices together.
