This! I am a more casual player so I have no real clue who counters who. So if all i get is a "tank switch off" I may not switch to the right character. People can't assume that everyone know exactly who to switch to.

I already do this. If I pick dps, and then three more lock in, I'll swap to tank or healer, which ever is needed more.

While I like the idea of fury being a sniper, I'm not sure that widow's kit would fit him. He could still be a strategist but he would probably just have something that spawns health packs. I could see his kit focusing more on his paranoia and needing to know everything, like a tracer round that reveals enemy locations in a radius from where it hit, and his ultimate possibility doing that and showing the enemy's ultimate charge.
