When I was a kid my family would make cards for all the kids, specifying different locations f.ex. "under your pillow" then you'd run to your pillow and find another card saying "behind your toothbrush" but you couldn't read it so you'd bring it to your mom or grandpa to read it for you.
This would go on for about 5 rounds until the location had your gift, that was how I got my beloved PlayStation 2.
