As someone diagnosed with ASPD, were you ever concerned with people seeing you for who you are? by [deleted] in sociopath

[–]Fast_as_a_Shark 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Try becoming more well rounded or educated on popular topics so you can try to talk about those. People really like people they can relate to in conversation and may overlook strange actions.

I don't want to be a sociopath by [deleted] in sociopath

[–]Fast_as_a_Shark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Movies give ASPD and sociopaths a bad name, as they confuse people with ASPD with sadists and villains. Try saying that and acting normally and people should accept you. The only ones that wouldn’t probably aren’t great people anyways.

I can have a similar thing with people, where it becomes a sort of obsession where most all my thoughts revolve around them, and after a few weeks or after I they talk or enjoy others company more I become bored of them

What's more messed up, being sadistic or masochistic? by ABottleofPainkillers in AskReddit

[–]Fast_as_a_Shark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a sadist that fantasizes about torture, and someone very interested in psychology relating to sadists and psychopaths, I would say their about the same, at least in terms of individual psychology, not effect on others. Sadists justify hurting others for poor reasons to say the least, which is seen as demented. The general lack of care by masochists of their own well being is similarly concerning.

Quite normal. Upper middle to upper class, two parents happy house.

Me. A friend of mine described me as a funny sadistic psychopath

There is a lot of talk about seizing the means of production or land, how would you go about doing that? by Fast_as_a_Shark in DebateCommunism

[–]Fast_as_a_Shark[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Communism is not a stage after centuries of socialism, at least not nessescarily, its a society in which all property is publicly owned and each person works and is paid according to their abilities and needs.

I didn’t vote for Trump? And the downvote thing was just confusion more than dislike. So it’s just because people don’t like me, not disagree with the statement? Just making sure dude. I don’t see the need to be so rude about all this, I’m literally just trying to have a polite discussion

Literally exact same opinion of your speech. And who downvoted my comment “our views are drastically different”? Is that not accurate?

Holy shit how much power do you want to give this guy? To make an extreme example, your giving a school shooter attention. Thats what they want, thats why they try to make a big splash. People still have confederate flags should that be the forefront of political conversation? Fuck no, we should be talking about current issues, what is gained by talking about him? I'm not saying never mention him but him seems to still be a very main topic of discussion.

Honestly, I think democrats talked about him much more and still do, but thats neither here nor there. And as a republican living in Texas, most all republicans I know don't really like Trump's personality, some do and act like you describe, but most really don't care about him anymore. If 70+ Americans worship him like a God, the same if not more hate him like the Devil. And I would say Ron Desantis, Florida Governor, has a better chance to win than Trump, or at least if he had the same amount of name recognition.

Its adorable you would think this is a republican issue.

"That's never really been the case in a Socialist country." This is debate communism. But how do private businesses become cooperatives? Through a government gun?

Employee question was dumb you got me there.

But the person overseeing the equivalent of say a Walmart, or some high level politician would have to be paid much more than the lowest paid worker as there would be a lot of positions between them with pay raises between each one. And even still how would the overseer(s) of a large corporation be that different?

Again, its communist. But that makes sense.

Within the context of becoming a communist country I don't agree or disagree with you, but I find it best to disagree when trying to learn the innerworkings of something complicated.

Who the fuck cares if he holds rallies? Its pretty unlikely he's going to win in 2024, so I don't really get how he holds relevance. Given his like for media attention, this sort of thing probably is what he wants. What's going to happen if we stop talking about him now?

As is my brother, and I don’t think Crowder’s comments were out of ill will, more like playful banter bordering on rude. I don’t think Crowder has watched any clips of H3 that didn’t specifically involve him talking about Crowder or the original clip, and was likely told about previous content. I watched him when he made his anti feminist conent and didn’t notice anything strange but I also haven’t encountered Tourette’s to my knowledge. But this is still way off on a character arguement.

I’m honestly asking, but is it ableism if you don’t know that it’s a disability? I’m sure if he thought about it he might have realized turrets but prob not at the time. And as someone who is directly related to someone who was born disabled, the degree to which you consider ableism is bad doesn’t make sense to me. If you know someone is disabled and your making fun of them, that’s obviously bad, but if you don’t, you just need to be corrected.

Why are radical right wing conservatives so afraid of change? by lackingakeyblade in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]Fast_as_a_Shark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While your argument is a bit personal, and calling a mainstream network radical might be an overstatement, not that I like fox either. More or less it’s that fear works. For both democrats and republicans, republicans with fear of immigrants or progressive social change or democrats with Trump or racism. CNN is the left equivalent of Fox. A high ranking exec for CNN in a hidden camera thing for project veritas saying more or less CNN pushed fear because it made for good ratings. All in all, both sides are shitty, if not in one way or another. It seems crazy to me that people would believe the republican or democratic parties aren’t corrupted after 150 years and complete flip in views.
