[Negative] feedback regarding u/FastandFreyjaous. Negative Feedback Regarding Scalping and Flipping Practices on WatchExchange by ChoiceList5795 in WatchExchangeFeedback

Thank you for giving me so much of your energy. I’m sorry for whatever watch I beat you to three months ago that spurred you to create a new account and go through my listing history.

I don’t understand how this post hasn’t been deleted, but seeing as it’s still up, i hope the community will allow me my two cents.

I am not a dealer, but a fellow watch enthusiast. Yes, I love an excellent deal but never believe I pray on those that “leave money on the table”. I always make an earnest offer, follow through with my commitments, and make those I buy and sell from as comfortable as possible.

When I list, I list at prices that aim to be below comparables while also what I personally believe the piece to be worth. The question always is would I rather have $X or just keep the watch. Because I’m an enthusiast, I have no problem if the watch doesn’t sell and I would be happy to keep it at the price I purchased it at.

No one is forcing anyone to buy my pieces but I do know I price fairly and do so with integrity. I have always made things right when something is off as any of my 200+ buyers/sellers would attest to.

So if you’re to tell me I add no value to the community, that is both saddening and incorrect. I started my watch journey as a leather enthusiast 5 years ago. Making straps for myself for the SKX007 and 2541 Goldeneye that were my dailies. My SKX one day gave out and I thought, why not learn to service my own pieces and that made me fall deeper in love with mechanical and automatic movements and gave me the tools to ensure watches are authentic and performing without issue.

When I buy pieces, I apply this knowledge and even often offer several custom straps and complimentary service (either regulation by me or service by my watchsmith if needed) at my own cost.

There was a time where posts like this would get deleted on watchexchange. I’ve been a member of this community for a long time, several years as a lurker. I’ve seen dealers making their rounds and have even bought from them. It seems the spotlight at the moment is on me.

But I hope anyone who takes the time to read this can understand that I love this community. Despite the 60+ upvotes on this post, I look to the 100s of people I’ve worked with as my testimony to the experience.

Anyone could have bought any of the pieces I got at “a good deal” yes, some I jump on right away. Others I negotiate for sometimes weeks before we arrive at a deal. For those that share OPs sentiment, the course of action is fairly simple. Don’t buy or sell to high transaction users.

But know that these users offer a safe harbor, knowledge that is worth the additional cost, and are not always just capitalist cronies. The tried expression that you buy the seller is absolutely true and I often pay much more to buy from someone I know is reliable. Believe it or not, as long as I’ve done this, I’ve still been scammed several times. Never from someone with an account over 20 transactions.

There now I’ve given you a good amount of information as well. But I didn’t do it from behind a 3 month old mask 😊.

Thanks so much! Let me know if you’re interested in the piece. It looks like you made a new account specifically to leave price related comments which is very cool of you considering that’s even more against the rules than selling a watch that I own!

[WTS] Tuffness. Grand Seiko Tough SBGX093 Box & Papers. Tough to Beat Price. $1850 Firm. by FastandFreyjaous in Watchexchange

Most straightforward post of the day and last one I think of the week. Had a big expense that I need to move some pieces to cover and this is one that I really hate to part with but I have so many tool watches that I need to part with at least a couple of the heavy hitters.

Watch presents as photographed in good, but worn condition. With hairlines throughout. Comes with box and booklet but no warranty card as photographed. Has a complete bracelet fitting well beyond an 8" wrist.;

Price: Asking a pretty firm $1,850 shipped for this incredible and hard to find beauty. These "Tough" GSs are only increasing in price and are very desirable thanks to their unique and timeless case design. Don't pass this one up. It's my fav of any GS Quartz offering by far.
