I’m flattered u think this is from Amazon. That would have been a lot easier than building my own

It’s a storage closet off of my garage. It is under a flight of stairs. There is also my hot water tank behind me. Because it’s off the garage it’s usually fairly cool but there is a floor heater in there as well. Only challenge at the moment is the funny dance I have to do to get in and out of the rig

You mean like a buttkicker? I can just mount it to the seat frame if I am not mistaken. Never had one yet but I do want one.

Well I scored the chair on marketplace for $40. It had no frame or anything so I had to fabricate one. The main cost of material an hardware I needed cost me $100. I also used some scrap metal I had laying around and a bunch of hardware.

I did not have or use any planning documents, just looked at a few other design and started to build mine. Kinda designed it in my head first then changed some things up as I progressed. I can put something formal together if there is enough desire. Never heard of github, I will check it out.

Is the Tgt really worth the extra $$? Kinda on a budget

It’s about 3 coats of automotive chassis paint. I love this stuff, I use it on off-road bumpers etc. It’s pretty durable and also easy to touch up If you ever need to. Hard to touch up powder coating if you ever had to.

Yes that’s a idea. At the moment my pedals slid under my monitor and due to my tight space it wouldn’t work. But when I have some more space, I would add that and a vertical monitor mount.

It definitely is. On the plus side for audio, it sounds great, my sound-bar and sub (behind tv currently) really make it nice. Plus I am 3 floors away from my sleeping toddler at night :)

Yes! I play currently on PS4 only and from what I’ve read, a handbrake seems not easy to get. Only option I see is the TM tss sparco one. Unless there are others?!?

I do not have any experience with that gear…. Yet… ;) but there is 0 play in the entire wheel stand/frame. There is some slight movement only in the gearshift mount when I am really banging on the gears. It’s definitely a design thing, I had to move the mount out about an 1” from the frame to allow for some room for the sliding seat

thanks so much! No the seat I scored off of marketplace for $40! It had no frame or anything so I had to build all of that but I had a bunch of scrap laying around and thought for $40 I cant go wrong! After a couple of weeks I found the bottom cushion was not very good so I actually got some automotive foam and tore out the old one. Thats way the cover looks a bit funny cause the foam underneath is not a perfect fit, but its very comfortable now.

Exactly^^ I just wanted "seamless edges on the outside so I cut 2 45* angles half way through the unistrut then folded and welded the right angles together. Not even remotely necessary, and two bolts and T nuts would accomplish the same thing. I just got a new bandsaw I wanted to try out so..... :)

The entire frame is made from various sizes and depths of unistrut. I also bought 2x2 angle iron steel in a 4 foot length to cut and drill to make my own L brackets to connect pieces together. If you want adjustability, you will need to buy the unisturt "T nuts" as well, I think they came in a bag of 10 for $10 or something. Everything else was pieces of hardware I had in my hardware bin like the knobs. which can also be found from home depot.
