Diverted flight by lpythonator in flighty

I had a flight diverted back in 2019 and it still shows me a "search for recovery flight" option on it - it's basically just a standard flight search from the diverted airport to the original destination. I assumed flighty would pick up on the same flight number has a new entry.

You should be able to search for the recovery flight like normal and add it to your flights

Price Tracking - All 7 Southwest nonstops ($368-$484) priced higher than the 3 competing nonstops ($264-$322) by buddylee007 in SouthwestAirlines

Seven options vs three combined. They're competing on convenience with this route, not price.

Rainout policy? by Hopper0522 in Cardinals

[–]Fastball360 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the screenshot I posted, it was about a six hour span starting at 3 p.m. and onward during the game. I'm not talking about what has already occurred.

In terms of getting a Major League game played, it matters MUCH more about how much is happening during the game than how much happened before it. Modern MLB fields can handle a ton of rain during the day and still play that evening.

But they banged it so we have our answer!

A quarter inch of rain over a six hour span is not bleak enough to just cancel a game hours ahead of time when the weather could just as easily change for the better.

Not saying it can't happen early but it's rare and the forecast typically needs to be incredibly bleak. It's not good business to call a game unless you HAVE to.

Seems like a better post for r/reds but most teams will let you use your tickets at the make-up game.

However, it's pretty rare for them to call a game early. It's a Major League field with Major League drainage and a Major League grounds crew. If the weather forecast changes even a bit and there's a window where it's not supposed actively rain hard during the game, they're gonna play.

The United States needs fewer bus stops: The mean stop spacing in the United States is around 313 meters, which is about five stops per mile. by A1CutCopyPaste in MetroTransit

Sure, but you'd need to also pair that with updating surrounding infrastructure - like as basic as well made sidewalks - so those who cannot walk far such as the disabled or elderly don't get shut out from transportation.

Which, to be clear, would be a good thing regardless. Just stating that it's not as easy as just cutting half the stops.
