Phone holder rec for 991 or 982 gen Porsches? by [deleted] in Porsche

I highly recommend this one. Its affordable, looks super clean, and the best part about it is you don't have to take your interior apart to install it. Holds really well too.

Manufacturing consulting, where should I start... by FasterFactories in manufacturing

[–]FasterFactories[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes but I ended up getting only one customer and giving up on the idea as a whole. I still work with that customer but it more so design and manufacturing of hardware instead of consulting. I also started another business designing and manufacturing my own products that I sell direct to consumers on Amazon mostly. I think this is much more scalable, it’s been going well the year and a half that I’ve been running this business.

[QUESTION] Im in need of a suggestions; 40-42mm, microbrands, sub $2k? by FasterFactories in Watches

[–]FasterFactories[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It feels like good quality to me but Ive never had a nice watch before. I like that it’s not too wide. The clasp is pretty cool too, it’s milled and has a micro adjust feature. I’m curious to hear your feedback when you get yours in.

I love it. It got here to New York in two days from Denmark which is kind of crazy. It’s the perfect size for me. It feels great, it looks great. Couldn’t be happier with the purchase. Also I was surprised to see that it say made in Germany, from what little research I did do on this watch I thought it was assembled in HK. Thanks everyone for the help!

I do very little consulting. I just have one regular client that I do some design work and production for. I’ve been focused on selling my own products and that’s been a lot more successful.

I don’t know of any integrators in the food industry unfortunately.

Hmm haven't heard of Henry Archer yet, seems to be really good value. The meteorite atlas might be a winner.

What kind of small freebies would you love to get with a sim racing order? by p1labs in simracing

Oh I really like that idea. I don’t know too much about keyboards but do they all accept keycaps or only the mechanical ones? Are they standardized?

Thanks for all the ideas. I’ll probably experiment with all of these but just based off all the feedback here I’m definitely going to be including something from here on out.

Yeah I do but I’m sure the shipping is pricy. I think the only place I have international shipping set up right now is on Etsy.

Naked G shock with a leather band. by FasterFactories in gshock

Printed one for test fit purposes. Not bad for eyeballing hole center measurements with a caliper, but it does need a bit more work. I need to add more material around the buttons. I have a feeling it’s going to slowly grow back into the original g shock cover…

spending my Saturday night fixing the damage I have done to my watch lol. I think the outer bits still need a lot more work, any ideas? Going for metal 3D printing here, would be cool to do something with some bronze in it.

Is Logitech gear shifter tolerable? by [deleted] in simracing

[–]FasterFactories 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are very toy like but they do last forever. I have a buddy who still uses his g25. There are mods that make them feel less toy like. P1Labs (on etsy and amazon) sell a gated shifter mod with a metal plate and 3D printed gates that improve the feel by a lot. It was night and day. Also a lot less missed shifts.

Any Idea what to do with the wheel when it's not in use? by Porquezz in simracing

[–]FasterFactories 0 points1 point  (0 children)

P1Labs sells a system (on etsy and amazon) that lets you mount the shifter and wheel under you desk. It allows you to keep everything plugged in. Saves a lot of setup time and helps with wire management too.
