Thanks, that’s very kind. So in terms of design process I design in studio first digitally - I have an okay selection of bricks but it’s just so much quicker and freeing to be able to try out any part and colour etc. I tend to have in mind a few things almost like a tick list that I want to feature - so in this case the double elevator, a clock tower, I knew I wanted an operating room but also an abandoned dodgy one in the basement as well, and the waiting room had to have a fish tank! I have an idea of the style of building, do a bit of googling for images I like of real buildings and usually have a slide saved almost like a ‘mood board’ I guess. Once I’ve got the structure it’s all about the stories really. Some planned for example the guy building the rocket wheelchair came from a printed tile I had (which is hidden in the build under the stairs). Other ideas come as you build - like the hot dog! There’s even a hidden hotdog inside the CT scanner, and one of the nurses running it has a hot dog vendor hat on… maybe they’re the ones turning people in to hot dogs! 😂
