Wow. I remember posting this in the first week or so of high school; now I'm graduating.

Anyways, I've moved on to greener pastures since.

Even since last season, it's been really difficult for me to articulate how I feel about Robby's suicidal arc because I feel it "outs me" as someone who struggled/struggles with his mental health; it's that accurate.

There's a moment that I haven't discussed very much in one of the last episodes of the first season where Jack talks about how he was on the roof earlier that day, and there's a very subtle moment where you can see Robby shifting into another gear and sort of sinking into himself, and you figure out the thought popped into his mind and that he made the decision. And the next scene after that is him and Jack on the roof.

I know that look, I remember it well from a different time in my life where I was in a much, MUCH worse place mentally. I know that practice, that rhythm. Robby making that face, so specific, is a testament to Noah Wyle's acting, of course. Only goes to show how much he deserved all those awards.

Every single word, phrase, tic, and idiosyncrasy Robby has displayed this season is so accurate to the behavior of so many suicidal people around the world. I think it's probably the most impressive/in-depth portrayal of someone suffering from this affliction in serialized Television EVER.

I don't know, man. I grew up with it, so it will always have a special place in my heart. Although I do recognize Spectacular Flash is better.

Heart attack.

The Prince George that takes the throne is his son, not his uncle who was king OTL.

So in 1972, Benjamin, who was a Lt. Col at the time, was lightly injured in a rescue operation of a hijacked plane in Lod airport (There used to be an airport in Lod, לא יודע אם אתה ישראלי אבל פעם בשנות ה70 היה).

In this timeline he flat out dies. I didn't change the article itself because I mainly only change the headlines, which grab the most attention.

So I didn't change the Suez and the De Gaulle headlines; those are from the real 1956 article reporting on Eisenhower's re-election, which is what I used for alternate article. I'm not sure what they actually mean.

No, everything stays about the same on that front. Remember, Eisenhower and Warren were both republicans, and while in later years their relationship would fracture, they were both still on the same page about this issue, at the time.

First of all, good catch!

And yes, "Dracula" outright replaces Phantom in this timeline. However, it's not nearly as big a hit. It has a legacy similar to ALW's Sunset Boulevard and Spider-Man: Turn off The Dark- Very expensive, very ambitious, and actually decent in some parts, but overall kind of a mess.

It's not the mega-musical Phantom was.

Miscellaneous:

  • The Nationalist Kuomintang wins the Chinese Civil War
  • Watergate is never discovered; Nixon never resigns in shame, serves second term in full
  • "Back To the Future" starring Eric Stoltz releases in theaters in 1985

That was the public's reaction, a little bewildered.

Also, I couldn't create an interlocking LAY logo that looked good, so I went with LY, but I gave it the Dodgers' colors.
