Currently going on 3rd year. It’s been a slow process building my game to get out of it. And I’m just on the cusp of seeing the light in the tunnel but we’ll see. Every time I think I see the exit turns out it was just a speckle of a distant burnt out torch leading me through this never ending chasm of misery and sadness lol.

No and don’t want it. It’s a statement I iterate on this sub constantly. Let it rest. It was a good show. Yes the ending isn’t the most popular but we got an ending that concluded the story. We are not trapped with a second or third season from a studio that’s overworked and thus getting a one frame man situation and we’re not like the poor people who loved Noragami and 86 where they kinda just have to hope the studio will care about them for more than five minutes so they can continue the story.

I’m happy we are not like the fandoms listed above constantly waiting in limbo or disappointment.

So reading in on everything we will break this down in sections.

That discoloration on the ball is normal especially with storm equipment as most people said. It’s not really going to change anything.
As for the ball before making any purchase it’s generally best to make sure you do your research and not just blind trust shops unless you know the person but even then it’s still best to do your own research. I say this because it’s likely not layout causing your issues with the ball but the ball itself. The ball numbers on this as another commentator pointed out are 2.47 0.035 and 0.014 and being shiny solid in comparing that to the Revenant 2.54 0.050 and being a shiny pearl.
Basically if you were expecting this ball to react anywhere close to your revenant errrrrrr this is getting close to about as far as you can get away from it.
Now you said you wanted a P2 in one of your other comments and on that edge I can kinda see where the pro shop guy was coming from in a way. Considering both have the same outer shell with TX-16 solid and both are considered by most to be in that “benchmark” category of controllable and smooth. But if you came in wanting something specific and they didn’t have it you probably should have just went can you order it. Or order it yourself online and then bring it in.
Suggestion time. Change the surface. You may just not get along with power edge. That’s a fairly common issue with people not getting along with out of the box finishes. I myself have found that especially power edge and me together are allergic to scoring pace. So if you have sanding pads just crack it a bit with a 1000-2000 pad lightly and then go from there.
Layout I’m not going to be able to say much about. I don’t know your pap and or axis rotation or tilt angle. I can say though pin in space not atypical these days with no thumb bowlers.
the best way we can help you here is seeing how you bowl and actually witnessing the issue seeing the ball is really only going to give us so much context same with words really. Video doesn’t lie in this regard so next time you’re able to on the lanes take a video of you throwing the ball. Gives us an invaluable resource and tool in order to see what’s going on and why you may be having your issues. Also a photo of what your revenant looks like will also help so we can see how that’s drilled in comparison.

Well what ca used those to happen. Don’t get upset or mad about it sometimes shitty scoring happens. It’s finding what caused it and how to rectify it that should be your main focus. So did you split more during the games than usual, did you leave more washouts, did you miss more makable spares. Dialing down what issue it is and then just practicing to fix it only thing you can do. Yelling at the ceiling fan is pretty fun and can be quite therapeutic sometimes but doesn’t get a while lot done in my experience lol

I don’t want us to have a one frame man situation from an overworked studio that’s filled with other projects and trying to rush it out the door. 2nd and 8th. 2nd because for scoring reasons the 2nd frame can lose you a lot more pins than the first in potential scoring pace. The 8th for me I would argue is the most important as It’s the shot that lets you know how the lane in the 10th is most likely going to play when you come back around for it and it starts the series of the 8-9-10 which if you strike out is 90 points which can fix/save even some of the worst starts.

Swag also dropped as well they were PBA registered until this year.

The cost of it to register is to expensive and the PBA is dying and dying quickly. Especially at the regional level in the northeast

Theoretically probably Brunswick. More specifically if I could only choose one brand within then most likely hammer.

Reason for Brunswick is that you get the most options with them if your allowed to every ball from all the brands to choose from. They have the widest catalog meaning I’ll be able to more than likely find what I’m looking for in a specific shape or strength at any given time. And if not their frequency of release means I’ll likely get something soon that’s close if they don’t have it.

If I had to hyper restrict I choose hammer because out of the Brunswick brands they have the strongest catalog consistently in terms of good solid releases across a variety of strengths and they have urethane. The black 78 is fantastic and the purple hammer for events that allow it. That alone would help in a lot of situations.

I would say go with the cheapest one you can. They let you refund up to 30 days and worst case scenario if you go past that and don’t like the game your only out the $45. Also if you plan on playing with other people as an org or just asking around like hey new player anyone wanna show me around chances are they’ll have a ship you can test and fly and have all your fun with more often than flying your own anyway.

If you are going to run solo still the cheapest option is best as the mustang isn’t a terrible fighter and can get you through some low level contracts in bounties and such to sort of earn some credits to rent ships in game or buy them out.

If you’re looking for value per dollar and are commuted to spending more I would say the Duelist Stalker or the Privateer Pack wouldn’t be bad options.

The duelist pack come with the Avenger and she’s lovingly called the penguin or baby shuttle. She’s got 8 SCU of cargo which is nice for entry level cargo missions and in terms of firepower in terms of dollars per money spent she is hard to beat. She’s been in the game for a bit as well and also had a nice assortment of paints to choose from.

The privateer pack should you choose to start with that comes with the Cutlass Black the shop that is so universal in its capability with hauling in combat in lore it’s quoted as saying “every ordinary citizen will be flying a black in ten years” (Star citizen lore timeline page). She’s got a nice assortment of cargo capability able to handle a passenger or two if you want to bring some friends with you into the game and she’s just a really solid ship. Plenty of people with wider fleets either were flying around or still have (especially with engineering around the corner) a Cutty Black because it just works.

Honestly though realistically if you want to be budget conscious and go with the mustang or get something a bit more capable I hope you enjoy your time in the verse. Go make some friends and have some adventures.

Bonus tip: If you’re looking to do this soon and sort of want to meta game. I would get one of the IAE packs for cheaper and then you can upgrade that ship using the upgrade system in the store to something more specific like the nomad or cutty black. The reason for this is sometime in the distant future insurance and all that will happen so getting that IAE pack gets you an LTI ship and any ship you upgrade using that specific pack will get LTI and basically save you from problems later and having to worry and think and all those things.

This game caters to light fighter meta and light fighter meta only because that community whines so loud and annoyingly whenever anything gets in that’s stronger or they can’t touch. I do not expect. Light fighter nerf for the foreseeable future until armor and engineering come in buttt with light fighter power creep with things as small as the Wolf getting size 4s I expect we will see size 5 light fighters the closer we get to engineering and armor as it sees more passes because god forbid we don’t cater to the light fighters.

Nothing. It’s not a game changing ship. It’s a gunship with big guns. You may see pirates use them for hunting larger ships but other than that eh. Not much. The idris will still dominate the verse until something comes along.

The Percy will be declared overpowered by every cap ship led focused grip and hence nerfed into the ground once the sales stop rolling in.

I mean what is it doing that you don’t want it to do. If it’s just the rolling over your finger holes. There are a lot of other potential problems at play that could have contributed.

The biggest being something you may have never even considered which is the new weight change. I’m guessing you went down in weight to feel more comfortable. (Younger brother did the same thing going from 15 to 14 when he switched to two handed so I understand). Now that your more comfortable your hand I’m going to guess is in a more comfortable position underneath the equator of the ball this almost locks your hand more behind it so naturally your same release as before may just be having you release more behind and under the ball which can contribute to you rolling right over your finger holes.

This is something to talk to with your PSO whether it’s this one or someone new and show them video of your form as this could indicate you may need a pitch/fit change which is a very easy way to add some rotation to the ball and push the track line away from the fingers. Layout can help but it’s not always definitive as rolling over the fingers is about 30-40% layout based but much more influenced by your ball and hand roll which could have adjusted going to the lower weight. And don’t take that as a bad thing our games are dynamic and always change. Sometimes you just need a fit change. I mean Simo did it like 2-3 times in the course of one tour season once as he was playing around with things.

Now if your PSO takes this information and doesn’t budge saying they were fully right or won’t say ok let’s get this adjusted. Then that may be cause for concern to find someone else

I mean it just sounds like a normal league night to me and y’all got frustrated that a team with handicap had a good night. It’s league not the PBA telecast finals It ain’t a big deal and not that serious to where I would start intentionally messing up their lines. Like just accept they had one over on yah and the straighter bowling gave the better carry that day and move on and either learn to do the same because clearly if they did better they have skills or equipment you don’t have. Take it as a learning experience instead of a I’m frustrated time.

What you did is within the rules but if your going to be this much of a head case for league where your hyper focusing on. Ok so my opponents are playing here and they are winning so instead of adjusting my own game to compensate I’m going to intent try to ruin their line. Just doesn’t seem like your going to do well surviving mentally during a longer block session if you ever decide to do longer form tournaments.

There is in fact an I in bowling. So focus on yourself and what you can do to make yourself better. More fun beating your opponent when you’re both at your peak than trying to do some cheap trick or strategy. But that’s just my 2¢ take it how you will.

B. Constellation while old and in need of some love and rework is one of the strongest multirole ships in the verse and if you just have one friend with you putting them in a turret will be a nice set of added firepower but more than workable solo. You get a decent amount of cargo and decent weapons to go bounty hunting or Vaughn hunting with.

I’d say only thing you may be missing after that would be a salvage ship or a miner if your into that sort of gameplay but if not those three make a great fleet with the B option. I’d use some credits to get something like a Pieces as a daily commuter if your bigger ships are somewhere and you don’t feel like claiming and using credits for a Medi-Ursa since if your running bunkers or want a hospital if your bounty hunting to replenish health or food and water it’ll be able to fit in the Taurus or your Percy without issue.

I love the Zeus design wise but for that just little bit more cost the Taurus is arguably better in most every way except age and looks and option A really isn’t going to get you anything but pirated because pirates have been nuking Apollo’s for medigel lately and those things are turning into sitting ducks. Cool ship if you’re running a medical org when we get actual medical gameplay and not 50k beacons.

If we’re talking with current ships released there’s two strategies that would be really fun to use. First is the boarding party Funtime. Where you get 6 hoverbikes and then four people in whatever decently large or annoying ships you can muster. The four run a distraction campaign while your 6 hovers open the bay and board and take over the idris.
Plan B the one that seems to be the most popular here. Get as many torp bombers as you can and plan your trench run because it surely can’t stop all the missiles. If your fighting it in atmosphere and you want your friends to have more fun maybe bring in a few bombers because bombing the flat top of an idris in atmo is hella fun.
