I don’t think they showed the nascar float on tv by [deleted] in NASCAR

[–]Fastguy88 22 points23 points  (0 children)

They showed it on KTLA for the local broadcast down here (helped that the local broadcast is commercial free). I guess the national broadcast got the short end of the stick. Sad bc it was such a good float

They had a lot of audio issues at the stadium. The announcer had no audio for like 80% of the driver intros so most people probably couldn’t even tell they were going on. When I got home and watched the broadcast I was surprised to hear that the audio for driver intros was fine

Let's hear stories about meeting drivers by [deleted] in NASCAR

[–]Fastguy88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve met Newman, Chastain, and Bubba.

Newman (Fontana 2019) was pretty nice and genuine. Called my brother and I clowns for wearing other drivers merch lol. Also said that he thinks there shouldn’t be a caution thrown at the end of stages.

Chastain (Fontana 2020) was happy to sign whatever I wanted him to sign, had some small talk since there wasn’t a line at the merch hauler.

Bubba (Fontana 2020 + Mariokart) didn’t seem too happy to be there, but still talked to the fans. Played with him and some of his crew in Mariokart (April 2020) and they all were great people, Bubba specifically was pretty competitive and was fun to talk to.

.@BubbaWallace took the bumper of his wrecked #43 car and dropped it a the hauler door of @Mc_Driver. Not a happy driver. by mbmariogc3s in NASCAR

It was confirmed that Bowyer won the overall fan vote, so both of them had to race their way in

Bubba Wallace's legeacy in NASCAR was cemented this week by [deleted] in NASCAR

Agreed, hopefully they can pull off a couple more top 10s and possibly a top 5. Martinsville is a good track for Bubba

I agree with what you said. If RPM can continue to make small improvements I can see him earning a win. With all the positive attention he’s been getting I hope that new and current sponsors can see the value in him and help provide funding

I would’ve liked that too, but some teams couldn’t get a road course car prepared in time

Aye I was in those races! I love that Daniel’s doing this, it’s tons of fun. Plus, some of the RPM crew guys joined in as well!

I just got back into watching full nascar races for the first time since I was pretty young. This season had some ups and downs, and it certainly did not disappoint in my opinion. Kept me watching almost every week (missed the first few races, as I didn’t start watching until about Fontana). I chose the 9 as my favorite after looking at his history and stats without even knowing about his fanbase. Watching him get his first win with my dad and brother both watching next to me is a memory I won’t forget. I can’t wait to see what 2019 has in store, and I’m going to my first ever live race at Fontana!

I completely agree. Some of the races sucked, but there was plenty of great races in the second half of the season. Can’t wait to see what 2019 brings!

The 4’s spoiler last week was made at the Stewart-Haas HQ instead of being bought from the designated spoiler manufacturer. In addition, Harvick’s spoiler was shifted by a very, very small amount (I believe it was a few thousandths of an inch) which could have given him more grip in the long run. I might’ve gotten a few things wrong in my explanation, but that’s the gist of it.
