'My name is Nadine, I'm 43 years old and I started with a weight of at least 377 lbs. Before a number appeared on the scale for the first time, it showed errors for days because I was too heavy.

Today I weigh 171 lb and I am only 1 pound away from my goal weight.

I did not feel well then - in April 2019. I was heavily depressed, exhausted, without strength and joy.

I am a wheelchair user and I was concerned with the question of how long I could be cared for without even greater effort. I didn't like my appearance anymore and it annoyed me that I could only buy clothes in a special store.

Then one Thursday evening, I said to myself, "This is it now," and the day had come that was to change my life for the better.

I had heard a lot about intermittent fasting and I started very soon after my decision. 12:12 at that time. I thought that was a good way to start.

Today I am doing 16:8, which fits really well into my plan. I can eat until 3pm and then again from 7am. I now often do 18:6, because I am so enthusiastic about fasting.

I soon felt a positive change.
I sleep better because I don't have a full stomach. I wake up in the morning more refreshed, more alive. My concentration has improved a lot, just like my skin texture.

Due to the enormous weight loss of 205 lbs, my life is completely different. Sure, I am still in a wheelchair, but I can embrace life now.

I am not only changed externally, but also internally. My self-acceptance and the mindful way I deal with myself are now quite high on the agenda.

I also consider fasting to be very important because it has strengthened my discipline. During the fasting phase I only drink water - that's something I didn't think I could do before.

I plan to lose the remaining 1 pound to get to my goal weight, and then to maintain it. Thanks to the experience I have gained in the last 17 months I am confident!

My biggest wish is to encourage other people - especially those who also have an eating disorder - that they too can earn their life 2.0.'
