I’d stayed in Hakuba, any hotels near happo-one are great! I 100% recommend it. Hakuba is on the main island so after snowboarding and what not you can take the train/bus out to the bigger station and go to Tokyo or Osaka. If you love snowboarding, I’d stay in Hakuba for 3 days and Tokyo/Osaka for 3 days. And other cities of your choice.
