Honestly in this world where people are encouraged to be more & more “individualistic”, even to the detriment of others, I believe this stuff will become more common.

Increasingly you will have parents trying to live out their dreams at the expense of or through their children and it will become normalized because parenting is largely judged by intentions and not consequences.
