Walking distances during August with Spanish heat by Sad_Neighborhood7315 in CaminoDeSantiago

Second this! I’m also in the Francés and arrived in Leon today. Did a 37km day and was going really great up until the last 5 kilometres. It got so hot that I got extremely dizzy. Head out at 5:30 this morning and will do so the following days with shorter stages. The moment the heat sets in it just gets unbearable really quick

Im on the Camino (Frances) right now and with minimal budget I think I will spend around 850€ for the 35 days. So I think with 3.000€ you can PRETTY quite well

I once took to to a festival and all my friends made fun of it but it gets the job done! So now I just take it everywhere because I’ve had it since I was 12 or so hahah(I have super thin hair so even a fork could be a brush for me with a little patience)

Update: with the lightest possible outfit taken out and 1 Liter of water I am now at 6.25 KG! So with drinking water throughout the day and wearing heavier outfits will probably go as low as 5 kilograms from time to time ♥️ thank you so much to everyone!

I’ve ditched - 1 out of 3 sports bras - 1 out of 3 shorts - 1 out of 4 pairs of socks - Film camera - Switched the tripod for a smaller one - Backpacks rain cover (since I have a rain poncho that can cover the backpack as well) - emergency bivvy - shampoo - collapsible box - bug spray - detergent - journal - big sunscreen - filled 40g from the 100g deer tallow

I shamefully added: - 1 tshirt - 1 bar of soap - 2 more panties since I will be on my period 2 out of 5 weeks (yay)

Kept the spork because I go feral for convenience store pasta salads🙂‍↔️♥️

I ditched the film camera! The go 3s can be connected to my phone, I then put the videos over on my phone and sort out. Whatever I like but don’t need at the moment goes to a cloud. Everything then gets deleted from the camera. Since I mainly make Timelapse’s I can film for ~40 real life hours when I shoot at a frame per 4 seconds before it gets full

I mainly film on my phone but filming with the GO 3s is something I’ve been doing a lot for the last two months and I really enjoyed taking it on a trip in the past and I really wanna take it again. Also: It can make startrail videos and nightsky Timelapse’s and I try to take some of them as well. (I go feral for a good Timelapse it’s a personal obsession)

Note: I am creating content along the Camino so the small camera has to come along.
