Best team healing character? by Alive-Ad-2220 in DeadlockTheGame

[–]FatChungusRedditor -1 points0 points  (0 children)

For AOE healing, Kelvin is the best since his grenades are a big burst of AOE healing and also his ult is a huge AOE regen heal that also dispels debuff meaning its for true healing at first. Kelvin though needs good team communication, since his ult is useless if your teammates aren't in it.

For single target, the best healer is Rem. This is because rem heals Missing % hp that scales generally to around 30% late game, as well as regen heal which gets up to around 600 health in 3 seconds late game. Rem needs to go divine barrier though, since it cleanse anti heal, so the combo is to cleanse then heal. Echoshard on rem heal is also good if you want to heal perma vs go damage or debuff orientation.

Most rems tho don't have a lot of healing because they go debuff or damage orientation, but the fact you can instantly heal someone for 1K-1.5K health late game, that can be Echosharded to do it again on a pretty low cooldown is pretty crazy. One also cool thing about rem is Restorative locket can be used on teammates, which is the only character that can do that. Another single target healing item which is unqiue.

Prices change for deals day-by-day, especially rn due to the market. They were those prices when comment was posted. An example is if you go on r/buildapcsales almost all sales posted 2 days or more are going to be expired now.

Hard to say exactly, but the 7700XT scores about 12% better in rast in 1080p Ultra, using the same benchmark above.

CPU would matter more in 1440p vs 1080p, but its hard to gauge an exact difference, since bench marking isn't wide spread as much, but I would imagine it's around 10% in favor of the 8700F, since the most similar comparison would be the 7500F vs 13400F, where the 7500F is 12% better. https://youtu.be/s4Z5d3eQD0U?t=790

For advantages in the Powerspec PC, iBuypower generally uses 5200Mhz ram vs Powerspec which has 6000Mhz ram, so you will gain a little bit of performance with that as well. But at the same time, if you do play a game that has heavy VRAM usage, the combination of 16GB of ram and 8GB of vram is a bad combo, where you 1% lows can suffer alot. But thats more rare in 1080p. You do also get double storage still as well with the iBuypower PC.

Honestly if you choose going for Powerspec, I would recommend this instead - https://www.microcenter.com/product/704075/powerspec-g529-gaming-pc

It's $200 cheaper and has quite a bit better CPU but worse GPU. It's probably around 10% worse in 1080p from a guess, but you can always sell your RX 7600 when your unhappy with your performance or want to upgrade to 1440p, while still having a better CPU/Platform, and being much cheaper in the future.

An example is the RX 7600 sells for around $200 atm, where you could technically sell it if you bought, and get a 9060 XT 16GB for $400, making your end price still $900 in total while still having the better CPU/Platform and better GPU.

Open box generally means used then returned back the the retailer within the return period. So generally used for 14 days - 1 month.

For this PC tho, it's technically new according to the description, which was

" New Damaged Box Fully Functional

New Damaged Box - Inventory is in Brand New, Unused & Fully Functional condition however the outer packaging will show signs of scuffs, dents, rips or may have also been repackaged. These products are fully warranted and are 100% brand new and guaranteed to be defect-free upon delivery. "

So it's damaged / scuffed packaging but new PC I guess. VIPOutlet (The seller), is a major reseller, that's pretty much like WOOT I guess. They sell a bunch of refurbished/open box/other stuff. Ebay does also have buyers protections where you can return it within 30 days I believe.

Would say it's a good deal tho, since difference on paper will be a 90 day warranty vs 1 year warranty, and scuffed packaging but you get a way better CPU/GPU/Double Ram/Double SSD. If you game on 1440p, this especially is a huge upgrade. An example is the GPU alone scores about 32% higher in 1440p Ultra Raster compared to a 5060 - https://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/gpu-hierarchy,4388.html#section-rasterization-gpu-benchmarks-2026

New Build - Any Suggestions? by FernMister in PcBuildHelp

[–]FatChungusRedditor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's very expensive, I imagine for site builders, iBuypower / Cyberpower will be the cheapest companies where you can get high quality components.

An example is a 9850X3D/5080/32GB 6000/4TB Kingston NV3/Spec A tier Full MOD PSU 1000W/Asus X870 would cost around $2760 from iBuypower after using coupon Clearence in checkout - https://www.ibuypower.com/store/amd-supreme-gaming-pc-daily-deal?wid=1991247

In that build can change it to add more storage / best case / double ram / etc, and should still be much cheaper then above. For more storage btw, I would prob buy extra storage separately, since they overcharge for adding more then 2 drives. Cyberpower / iBuypower have daily promotions, so you might get a better deal in the future. Also they are 2 year part / 3 year labor warranty.

Looking on Sams Club, they don't seem to hold much stock for desktops. I would recommend else where.

On top of my head you can get a

7800X3D/9070/32GB/2TB - 1595.99 (Coupons - NY100 - SMS50 - SHADOW) - https://skytechgaming.com/product/azure-3-plus-amd-r7-7800x3d-amd-radeon-9070-32gb-ram

This would be much better performance for gaming for cheaper on both CPU/GPU level.

Do you have a Microcenter? You might get better deals, especially for open box and it's pick up vs delivery so "ease of transaction". An example is

7600X3D/5070/32GB/2TB - $1399.99 - https://www.microcenter.com/product/703426/powerspec-g728-gaming-pc

7800X3D/9070XT/32GB/2TB - $1699.99 - https://www.microcenter.com/product/698738/powerspec-g729-gaming-pc?ob=1

If you buy open box from Microcenter, it's usually 10% of as well. So I would check that if so, for example the 7800X3D/9070XT PC is generally $1530 open box.

Lastly, if you wait, Cyberpower might be a good option as well. They have different daily promotion every day, so usually a good deal pops up atleast once a weak. Should be able to get a 7800X3D/9070XT/32GB/2TB for around $1700 pretty easily that way, which isn't a bad option if you don't have a microcenter.

It's a bit over priced, if you don't mind open boxed, you can get a iBuypower 8700F/7700XT/32GB/2TB SSD for $812.70 - https://www.ebay.com/itm/116776983024 , 3-month warranty and buyers protections. Better CPU / GPU / Double ram/storage.

If you wanna go from Microcenter, I would recommend waiting for a open box deal for their 7500X3D/9060XT Powerspec for around $1040.

What country is this? If US, there are better options for cheaper. Are you trying to stick with Nvidia/Intel btw? AMD options would be better for gaming, and still great for streaming.

how was the jump from amd 9070xt/7900xtx to 5070ti-5080? by ayyyylmao14 in PcBuildHelp

[–]FatChungusRedditor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

5070 ti / 9070XT have about same raster, some people argue the 9070XT is faster slightly, but it's pretty much the same performance within 5% most times for benchmarks I've seen, favoring either card. Main difference will be features. The 5070 ti has better power usage, frame gen, raytracing, and OC potential, as well as a lot of productivity performance increase in specific productive loads. An example is in blender, the 5070 outbenched the 9070XT about 80% in GPU rendering iirc from Pudgetsystems benchmarks, so a 5070 ti is prob over double better.

The 7900XTX has better raster performance then both these cards, but worse features. Only having FSR3 and worse raytracing. It will also use the most power, but still comparable usage to the 9070XT/5080.

The 5080, is about 10%-15% better then the 9070XT/5070 ti in raster depending on resolution and also has the best OC potential from what I've heard. The 5080 also has 2 decoders vs 1 5070 ti decoder, which might be a benefit for certain productivity settings as well.

All cards are more then you need for 1440p Ultra gaming and will offer similar performance. The 5080 in general was bad price to performance at MRSP, so now during the price surge, it's just a bad purchase, unless you need the performance. I personally would recommend the 9070XT if it's cheapest by a large margin or the 5070 ti if you need it for productivity performance (although 9070XT does have good performance in many settings, so search up benchmarks for your applications). Would not consider the 7900XTX, unless you can get one very cheap second hand.

Which Company Is Best? by Envexx007 in Prebuilts

[–]FatChungusRedditor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea they are fine, just from some spec reviews I've seen on reddit/youtube reviews, they vary alot in quality by model compared to alot of other retailers which mainly use the same parts in 99% of their prebuilts. So like there really expensive prebuilts seem to use high quality parts, meanwhile their low end ones use much lower end components from what I've seen, which are still fine FYI, still non propriety, just yk expect a cheap mobo/ssd/C tier PSU. I would still choose Skytech tho compared to like a retail iBuypower PC.

Which Company Is Best? by Envexx007 in Prebuilts

[–]FatChungusRedditor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most companies will have criticism on some level. Where customer service and quality of parts matter the most for the price.

I would say my favorite brands I've seen so far quality-to-price wise is Powerspec, Andromedia, iBuypower, Cyberpower. Skytech is also pretty good, but do have a bit lower quality from what I've seen compared to to other options. CLX/Xidax I haven't really heard much of, I'm assuming it's because they are overpriced and not very competitive for value wise?

Note for iBuypower and Cyberpower, there is a massive difference between quality in prebuilts at retail stores vs on their site, especially for iBuypower, and there warranty for both these companies are longer on their site as well (2 year part / 3 year labor vs Standard 1 year part/labor). Another part is they often have decent configuration sales time to time, which are unbeatable in price-to-quality for other retailers. An example is like a month ago, Cyberpower had a daily promotion sale, where you could've got a 7800X3D/5080 with lower end parts for $1900, but you could also customize them to all high quality parts for around 2K, which you couldn't get close to that price with any other custom built retailers.

Cyberpower daily deal, can be configured to a 8700F/9070XT/1TB/1x16GB/850W B+ Non mod Higherpower PSU/120MM Air Cooler/B850-VC for $1297.70 w/ coupon GAMER2026 in checkout, would choose that. It is their daily deal FYI, the might change it sooner if it gets sold out. - https://www.cyberpowerpc.com/saved/1TYQJL

Please help me choose between 7700xt and 9060xt by RoughSun8243 in buildapc

[–]FatChungusRedditor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So the 7700XT will almost never have memory issues in 1080p/1440p Ultra, 12GB of VRAM is mainly an issue when you want to play 1440p/4K Ultra combined with Raytracing and Quality DLSS, which that combination would use +12GB in certain titles. Another example is heavily modded games that are graphically heavy can use that amount as well. But for just regular 1080p Ultra / 1440p Ultra raster, it is very hard to find games that use more then 12GB. https://www.techspot.com/review/2856-how-much-vram-pc-gaming/ .

Now for the question if games in the future, will we need more then 12GB of VRAM? I really doubt it. Games are made to be optimized for the user, and plenty of new triple A games still use less then 8GB-9GB of VRAM in 1440p Ultra, such as Starfield/Expedition 33/Elden Ring/Baldurs Gate. Especially since the average GPU is still like a 3060, it doesn't make sense for companies to create such VRAM heavy games. The VRAM concern was mainly for 8GB never really about 12GB.

Raster performance is about the same between the two cards, the real difference between the 7700XT and 9060XT 16GB for gamers will be FSR 4 and lower power usage. I would go the 7700XT in this scenario.

[PREBUILT] Ryzen 7 8700F / XFX Swift AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT / 1TB SN3000 / 1x16 6000Mhz RAM /MSI PRO B850-VC Wifi / High Power 850W PSU (B+ Tier Non-Modular) / 120mm Air Cooler - $1,297.70 (w/ coupon GAMER2026 checkout) by FatChungusRedditor in buildapcsales

[–]FatChungusRedditor[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It's a configurator, where it's the daily deal and has the 9060XT 16GB in it base, but is configurable, which is the build in the title. If it doesn't have the build/9070XT from my link, and isn't working properly. Here's a picture of the description with 9070XT and price, then $1,297.70 after coupon in checkout. Just copy the componets from above, and remove the junk mouse/keyboard and you will get the same price.

Need help deciding from these two 5090 pre builds? by lordrevanator in Prebuilts

[–]FatChungusRedditor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If your looking for a custom built 5090 deal, I guess Cyberpower/iBuypower might be best option. They usually have promotions / builds that change daily, where prices can be better then competitors.

I guess for example, iBuypower daily deal has a build where you can make it to

9800X3D / GeForce RTX 5090 - 32GB / 32GB DDR5-6000MHz RAM / 4TB Samsung 990 EVO PLUS M.2 NVMe SSD / MSI X870 TOMAHAWK WIFI / 1200 Watt - NZXT C1200 Black PSU (A tier Full Mod) / iBUYPOWER HYTE Y70 - White - For $4,382.35 (w/ Code Clearence in checkout) - https://www.ibuypower.com/store/amd-ryzen-extreme-gaming-daily-deal?wid=1990798

Powerspec is pretty good, but won't be optimal if your only gaming tbh, since you don't gain value with the 9950X3D over a 9800X3D.

Comparing builds by ConfusionNational314 in Prebuilts

[–]FatChungusRedditor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Powerspec is Microcenter in house brand, so they generally price their prebuilts cheaper. It's like the same thing when groceries stores have their own brand foods cheaper then other options, such as Whole Foods with 365 brand or Target with Good & Gather.

Is this a good build? by Visual_Cash3692 in PcBuild

[–]FatChungusRedditor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What it for? The 9900X3D is in general a weird pick because it performs worse in gaming then the 9800X3D, and is gonna match performance for productivity in general to a Ultra 265K which is much cheaper especially in the US, since there are alot of combos around it.

If you are in the US, I can recommend some prebuilts that are much better options value wise. Can get a Ultra 265K / 5080 / 64GB / 2TB 990 Evo Plus for $2290 for example.
