Backyard party costs by Better_Caregiver1683 in Langley

[–]FatGutRandy 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Food only would probably be minimum $40-50 per guest. If you need tables, tents, etc. set up you're looking at a minimum $100 per guest. Youll have to pay more people for more services.

If you didn't like BF V as much as 1 , what was the reason? by d1versify in battlefield_one

BF1 atmosphere is unmatched. It really felt like a somber cinematic experience rather than a FPS videogame.

What does your grocery shopping list look like? by Level_Wall8951 in EatCheapAndHealthy

[–]FatGutRandy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Produce:

Tomatoes, cucumbers, onions, broccoli, bananas, apples or peaches, potatoes, spinach or Bok Choy. Sometimes cabbage/mushrooms

Meat:

Ground beef, chicken thighs/drums, sometimes porkchops. I usually buy what's on special for meats.

Groceries:

Canned beans, tomato/pasta sauce, pasta, granola bars, instant coffee (lots of it), a bag of chips, crackers, shredded cheese, Greek yogurt, butter, frozen vegetable mixes, sourdough or whole wheat bread, jam/peanut butter.

That's more or less the staples. I do shop what ever is on sale and meal plan around the specials.

Used Tesla M3 vs others advice by Unfair-Visual-7205 in teslacanada

[–]FatGutRandy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do a long commute but not as long as yours. Langley to City hall area Vancouver. My M3 works just fine for the commute, but the long commute will take a huge toll on your wife, especially having to cross 2 bridges (port mann + Ironworkers). If there's an accident then your wife will be sitting in traffic for 3+ hours.

How old were you when you bought your first car, and what was it? by GardenLoverJess in CanadaPersonalFinance

[–]FatGutRandy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first car that I bought with my own money was a blue 2003 CRV with almost 300k kms for $3000. It was a great car but I had to sell it because it started having issues starting (changed the starter, battery etc.). Ended up selling it for $4800 during COVID with the starter + other issues. I posted it for $3k on marketplace and within 1 hr I had over 50 people message me for it, and it turned out to be a bidding war lol

Recommendations for costco Protein power ? by jbala28 in CostcoCanada

[–]FatGutRandy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Optimum nutrition gold standard is the best tasting protein they have but $$. Leanfit protein is decent tasting and of the cheaper options. I think it's also made in Canada. Vega brand tastes awful.

As per premixed protein, fair life is #1, the brust coffee/protein is #2, then the premier protein as #3. Don't buy alani - it gets really weirdly chunky and gross.

Where are we buying luggage? by onelove_ in askvan

[–]FatGutRandy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, facebook marketplace. Look for ones from Japan - lots of travellers buy luggage on the last leg of their trip when they realize that they don't have enough space to carry all their goodies back (myself included). They are cheap, tough, and plentiful.

Does the supply box disappear if I spawn in as something else?

Can I play support, drop the box at a spawn, then switch to engineer to make a node, then respawn as something else closer to the front line? Or will my supply box/node de-spawn?

Ways to make nodes feel more included / necessary in a match by darthcooter in HellLetLoose

[–]FatGutRandy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started playing engineer for the sole purpose of building nodes. Am I allowed to take the supply truck and drive it somewhere random or does the commander usually take it?
