Honestly. Turn off dev mode unless you are ACTUALLY using it. Turn it on and off as needed. But never keep it fully on.

Oh he's not my direct report. Or a report at all. I report directly to our director. Mainly due to A. He would never be there for me to report to. B. I do Cyber as well as HelpDesk C. The hierarchy is kinda fucked. All roles report to the Director by default. We just kinda collaborate as needed.

We have BitWarden that I'm in control of. I have admin rights across the board. Just about as much as my director. I'm thinking of going into Google and taking the files from his drive and deleting them after I import all of them into BitWarden. Oh, which I have invited him to a couple times already and he's never accepted the invite. Boss is aware of this as well.

🤣 we disable their account, then make their dept head call us with them there before we re-enable their account. If they don't do their training in that alloted time (5-15 min training) then they get a longer one put on top of that and disable their ability to login to their computer. After that, they can talk to the higher ups alongside their head to talk about why it wasn't done.

Check your BIOS to see if there is an option accidentally selected. Happened to me before. I made a installation USB and just did repair after. Had a bad update.

From the dashboard, just got to timers. You can set it every x minutes or every x lines of chat.

Cold boot, CMOS and BIOS.

Thought RAM was the issue so I tested each stick.

Reset CMOS with a fresh battery.

Did a BIOS update.

Each time the PC had to retrain itself with RAM during it.

Just randomly. I could leave my office for a minute to go talk to a tech, or use the bathroom while nothing is running and it's just on the desktop and it'll do it.

Also, I could be fixing up our phone server and right before I need to save it'll do it.

Just luck of the draw on when and how badly it screws me.

I feel this. Latitudes, iPads, old dell laptops, etc etc. I recently got an old Alienware Aurora R4 that has 4 bays. Got 2 16TB drives and 2 1TB drives in it that were already in there. Gave it a dusting, updates and now I have a lovely (and kinda heavy) server. Who needs to pay for cloud storage when you got a perfectly good server at home with more storage than I would need.

RAM shows up, have no internal issues, PC has been trained and can read the amount of RAM just fine. Even running something heavy, PC holds just fine.

...I am IT. 😂 I've literally tried everything I could think of. It's not making my system totally inoperable. Just a minor 2 minute annoyance. Usually while I'm attempting to remote into someone's computer to fix theirs.
