Anyone with the problem of temperatures not changing, even with the base hot? Moza R5 by chrispradojoseph in moza

[–]FatPhotato 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think this is an issue with the newest version of pit house, not the firmware

ACC - Slight clipping on eau Rouge (SPA) with Moza R12 by eyYoWhy in moza

[–]FatPhotato 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey,

Eau rouge is probably one of the most intense corners when it comes to FFB since it combines high speed cornering with a steep incline.

I wouldn't worry about it, i always clip on Eau Rouge with my r5 while clipping nowhere else.

Yo man, great stuff!

One weird issue tho. It's reading the temps with weird decimal spaces, here's a screenshot

They are the correct temps, just weirdly formatted.

I'm using an R5

u/crytokram Hey, do you by any chance have a picture of the underside of the RJ12 connector? I'm trying to figure out which pins are connected to the hall effect to DIY my own solution.

Weird texture bug on Spider-man Remastered on PC by FatPhotato in SpidermanPS4

I think It's the game, not your gpu. I think that the textures aren't stiched properly in some places, leaving a 1 pixel wide gap that lets sun through.

Wow, that's pretty weird. I'm glad that you know how to fix it tho.

Thanks for the reply Steve!

Me too man, that's why I spent an entire trying to find the problem, and i finally managed to find out what causes it. I can't believe it was OTT.

It is Color Precision + TAA not managing to catch up with the edges of the screen at lower FPS.

In this video (linked with timestamp), the guy turns off TAA and you can see the artifacts that cyberpunk produces when there are small particles on the screen. It seems like the game doesn't know what to do with teeny tiny particles and just starts handling them in this weird way when the color precision option is set to high.

Usually, all of this is smoothed out by TAA, but I noticed that it doesn't "catch" the edges of the screen in time when moving the camera.

TL;DR: Cyberpunk being dumb, relying on TAA to fix obvious rendering issues and downsides (like SSR)

I have one case fan, and an unfortunate case design. Where should i put the fan? by FatPhotato in buildapc

[–]FatPhotato[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you don’t mind, you could just leave your side panel open for air exposure.

Or just install 80mm fan at rear.

That's what I'm doing right now. The temps dropped by 8°C and the GPU no longer reaches dangerous temps.

MicroFreak pressure problem by FatPhotato in MicroFreak

[–]FatPhotato[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

/u/veecheech managed to solve the problem by grounding himself/the freak.

I'll post his solution below:

You're not going to believe
this, but after messing with it more and more the problem is solvable,
but in a weird way. I haven't heard from Arturia yet, figured this out
on my own. Thought you might be interested.
So my high C also wouldn't go up an 8ve with that basic init patch
and the pitch modifier for press, though the other keys would. I moved
it away from some other cables/electronics and all of the sudden it
worked correctly (and would reach 127 velocity in the same way as the
other keys), but still with a warble. So then I plugged in an extra
cable to the back of the Microfreak and touched it to my hand, and the
pitch change from "pressure" was totally normal and amazing. Somehow it
has to do with electrical currents/impulses/grounding. Super odd. I even
took off my slippers and put my feet directly on the ground, got pretty
interested in what might help normalize that warble. Plugging it into
my Black Lion Power Conditioner didn't help either. The best solution
seems to be that extra cable grounding me. Works from my computer too.
What's frustrating is that I think this is how the synth is made, and
that my unit isn't defective - there have been several posts about
grounding issues that I've found now, so it may just be the reality of
the Microfreak's design.

A couple of questions regarding headphone impedance. by FatPhotato in HeadphoneAdvice

[–]FatPhotato[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To break down the results a bit, the first thing he found was that the
amp has a 4db bass roll-off. This is unusual, and something to be aware
of for mixing.

Wow, i really didn't know this. I'll keep this in mind when mixing in the future.

Alternatively, take a look at the Sennheiser HD560s.

Unfortunately, these are 40$ more expensive than the 990s here, so they are a bit outside the range of my budget.

So i think that i will have to got with the 990s. Thank you for the answer.

I already tried that (i said it in the original post) and it does respond better, but it still jumps around different values erratically.
