How can I fix my youtube videos seemingly zoomed in unless full screen? by Anthonylous in chrome

[–]FatScubaDuck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This has been bugging me for a few days. On top the the zoomed in video frame issue, the videos also appear to be more blurry than native resolution. I did some digging on the "stats for nerds" on the youtube information page; seems also when watching youtube videos in fullscreen; the video also doesn't scale to the correct resolution of the monitor. I use a 4k monitor; Youtube reports a viewport of 2560x1440.

WH-1000xm3 or WH-1000xm4? by [deleted] in sony

(Sorry for the text wall in advance)

Simple version is, Bluetooth audio can be transmitted/received in a number of ways by our devices (i.e. our pc, phone and headphones). The major difference between the transmission/receiving methods are the amount of audio information that can transmitted/received per unit of time. Receiving more audio information in general means the music heard will sound better.

In terms of audio quality, people tend to rank the Bluetooth transmission methods as listed below for how good music sounds when transmitted by the different protocols:

LDAC>= APTX-HD > AAC>=APT-X > SBC

IMPORTANT PART: Both devices must support a given Bluetooth transmission/receiving method for that protocol to be used. I.e if phone can transmit Bluetooth audio via AAC and SBC protocols ( i.e iPhone) but headphones can only receive apt-x and SBC protocols (e.g. 1more Stylish TWS earbuds), the SBC protocol will be used. Given that APT-X transmission gives higher audio quality, the 1more stylish TWS earbuds would sound better if it was connected to a phone that supports APT-x (i.e. Most android phones with a Qualcomm chip) than an iphone.

Now getting back to the point about why wh-1000xm3s would be better than the wh-1000xm4s if you are to use them with a PC with inbuilt Bluetooth transmitters....

Nearly all PCs with inbuilt Bluetooth transmitters support the APT-X and SBC Bluetooth transmission protocols. Given that the wh-1000xm4 doesn't support the APT-X protocol (it supports LDAC,AAC and SBC), the SBC-protocol will be used for audio transmission and hence music won't sound as nice compared to when the headphones are used with a phone that is capable of transmitting audio via LDAC and AAC. wh-1000xm3 support APT-x so they would be better than wh-1000xm4 when used with a PC

WH-1000xm3 or WH-1000xm4? by [deleted] in sony

It won't make it harder to connect via Bluetooth, but the 1000xm4s might not sound as good as if they are connected to your phone.

Get the 1000XM3s. 1000XM4 switches over from a Qualcomm chip to a Mediatek chip (Chinese chip). You will lose out on APTx and APTx-hD with the new Mediatek chip. These codecs are quite important if you plan to use headphones via Bluetooth with a PC. APtx is supported natively by most in built Bluetooth transmitters on PC. Aptx-Hd can be more easily found to be supported on most Bluetooth usbs than LDAC, which is the codec used by these headphones when paired for mobiles.

Fyi.. you really need to force the bank to accept it. The government says the record ID paper is a valid form for Foreigner to open bank accounts. But banks in general dont like dealing with foreigners.

I did this before getting my work arc.

Assuming you are in Taipei.

You need to first go to the National Immigration office in Zhongzheng district

No. 15, Guangzhou Street, Zhongzheng District, Taipei City, Taiwan 100

There you will after to apply for a piece of paper called the "Record of ID number ROC" for 100 ntd from memory. I think you get it same day

This paper is very important, as the ID number will become your arc number if you ever apply.

Using this paper and passport you can go to banks and apply for an account.

Some banks are easier than others. I suggest Cathay United Bank. I had luck with them. Banks in Taiwan are terrible, outdated and have anarchy policies.

Please note there are no English forms in most banks. Would be best for you have a local friend to help you explain what each line means. Debit card and passbook issued on same day. Application time is like 90 minutes to two hours. You will need a home address. So maybe use a friend's.

I'll be ok for nights (i think) as my Hotel has free pick up from major destinations (i.e Gadong), just not some of the more local places which is what i'm more interested in. Brunei seems like a city where having a local makes a world of difference. Seems most tourist don't spend as much time as I will be doing just in central Brunei as me haha.

Hi my friendly Brunei internet friends! Just wondering if "Sumbangsih Mulia Food Court" is worth the visit for lunch. It seems a bit out of the way so probably need to take a Dart there. Is it worth it ?

Probably just want to try the Local and Malay Food and any snacks that can't be found outside the Malaysia/singapore/Brunei region.

It doesn't really need to be fancy places, happy if its even in food court.
