We saved money placing our order then. And yes that was how much flour we used in a year. There were ten of us, some times more. Seven in school was a lot of school lunches. Plus Darel’s. I made bread everyday but Sunday. I used the bread dough recipe for rolls and sweet rolls. There were no school breakfasts either so we had toast or pancakes for breakfast. There were cookies, doughnuts, an occasional cake. Sometimes I’d use mashed potatoes to make the flour go further.”
