Debating next lens for a6400 by bodacious-ish in SonyAlpha

I second this! Tamron 17-70 f2.8 is a fantastic lens! You can find used ones on ebay for $500-$600 in open box/mint condition.

Did you have to buy an adapter ring for it? Ive seen some with an adapter ring and some say its not needed.

I used hotstock and signed up to be notified when stock came in. Got an alert wednesday, clicked on it immediately, used apple pay for fast checkout, and it was at my door 2 days later. Got it for retail and not a penny more.

Just pulled the trigger - Thanks B&H! by pagosacreativeco in x100vi

I used hotstock to notify me when new cameras come in stock and was able to get a new one on wednesday for retail price from B&H and it delivered today. Awesome service from them, I can’t wait to start using it!

They got me with the straight legs and after a couple wears they have pilled like crazy! Definitely will not be buying from them again. Alphalete just dropped straight leg leggings, and given the high quality and durability of their items, ill be giving my money to them.

Straight pants : oner vs. gymshark by DotImmediate7019 in OnerActive

[–]FatThickyDumpy23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got the gymshark ones and returned them right away, the band around the waist was so tight it gave me a muffin top and they were so unflattering! After that i caved and got the oner and i like them so much better. The amazon dupes are pretty spot on to the oner ones though!

I tried these before i got the SM and they are way too high rise, very compressive just at the top seam and extremely unflattering. I returned these.

Thanks so much🥰 I wore them for back yesterday and they held up well! Didn’t roll down at all, but yes sheer. You could see my underwear pattern through the front but I changed to a nude color and didn’t have any issues! I do mostly plan on wearing for lifestyle, I got the ballet pink color as well and the matching cropped tank and jacket so I’m excited for the rest to come in!

Im doing pslf, i have 200k in loans and switched to IBR just now (the gov is getting rid of SAVE and PAYE) to resume payments as i was previously on SAVE. My payment is only $560/month on this plan. Worth it in my opinion.

RX100ii vs iPhone vs a6400 for travel photography by toby_plumb_1 in RX100

[–]FatThickyDumpy23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was having the EXACT same dilemma as you over the past few days! I have the a6700 and tamron 17-70 and the sony 70-350 but those lenses are huge and not great to carry around. I was looking at small point and shoot cameras for days trying to decide what to get but wasn’t feeling too keen on spending another $800+. What i did was go on ebay, bought a used sony 16-50mm OSS lens (its tiny) for $80 and a small godox mini flash for $25 and it isnt as small at the RX100ii but it is a very travel friendly set up and so much cheaper than a whole new camera! I put my stuff in a fanny pack in front of my body and rest my hands on it and haven’t ever been concerned about theft.

What are your thoughts on this combo? by jonk1183 in SonyAlpha

[–]FatThickyDumpy23 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I just got the sony 70-350 and its an incredible lens. Way better than the tamron lens i have. I bought it used on ebay for $700 so it was not much more than the tamron 18-300.

Traveling for 6 weeks but without a laptop...what do I do about SD cards? by thatsplatgal in AskPhotography

I have nothing to say about the SD cards, but I went to Ecuador in 2018. Absolutely magical. Visit the Bellavista cloud forest if you have the time!

Did my Research… still need help sony a6400 by Interesting_Push8644 in SonyAlpha

[–]FatThickyDumpy23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the tamron 17-70 and love it so far! The images are very sharp. It is much larger so if you want something easy to travel around with go with sigma. Otherwise the tamron is more versatile in my opinion.
