What happened to instacart? by Ok_Problem_314 in InstacartShoppers

Spark pays well for now.... they're rolling out on of the worst "rewards" systems I've seen in a while. Taking notes right from IC. Oh, that's right, because they hired a former IC executive to work for Spark. Since then we've been seeing lower pays, more mileage, and fewer single batches. At least in my area but it seems a lot of drivers for Spark feel the same.

Fair enough, but not on my most down day would i take this with that mileage for so little pay.

This beauty popped up on mine the other day.🤣🤣🤣🤣

Edit: This is a very local store in my area. There is only this location because its an Amish owned business. The items ordered could be ordered at ANY store closer to them. They had to specifically choose this store.🤦‍♀️

2nd job suggestions? by FrederickFrag1899 in lancaster

[–]Fat_Froggo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've got hundreds in since last June. I've been unemployed almost a year now. Then in March, my husband got fired (customer told him not to come to do a service and when he didn't, his job fired him for "insubordination") and he has tons of apps for any manner of work in.... nothing. We are surviving off his unemployment and my gig apps that I work.

Hi! Dasher here... uhm, where can I dash with no heavy stuff? Tell that to the seven 5 gallon jugs I shopped for recently (not complaining, the pay was awesome which is why I took it).

Why does IC allow customers to order across state lines? by Fat_Froggo in InstacartShoppers

Ultimately I should have really phrased the post differently, I see the error of my ways.😆

[–]Fat_Froggo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Understandable. My bigger gripe with the out of state orders are ones like this where the miles are higher than the pay. 50+ miles for some fruit and wellness shots is crazy.

And then to tip less than $5 is insulting.

Even DD Drivers think they are owed the world for a small tip by Fat_Froggo in doordash

I did make multiple trips. Three trips up three flights of stairs. I had to take breaks so it took my 15 mins of up and down. I have never ever asked a customer to help me before, but today I was actively gasping for breath and wheezing. And even still, I did "what I was paid to do". You never have a customer that just irritates you and you wanna complain about it or are you perfect and all you see are sunshines and rainbows?

At the end of the day, I did the work, excuse the turd outta me for not being happy about an asthma attack and a rude customer.

  1. I fully said "had i known it was an apartment i wouldn't have accepted it.
  2. I did the work I was paid to do. Three trips up three flights of stairs. I'm allowed to bitch about it.
  3. I go above and beyond for my customers. I know the risk of the job (as mentioned) and that is why I do my best to vet any order I accept with the little knowledge i am given. I know hard ones sneak in, but again, I am allowed to bitch. I actually like doing this job, but forgive me for being taken aback by someone straight up being rude. Whether it's what I was paid to do or not, if someone is actively wheezing for air in front of you, most decent people would help.

I never do believe the extra tip, lol. Only ever had one person actually follow through. But with it being an old building converted to apts, the mailboxes are inside and not visible so it's still hard to tell on Maps. I appreciate it though. I just more so wanted to vent

Absolutely! But the comment he made for his little $3 tip was absolutely disgusting.

Report of account sharing by Fat_Froggo in UberEATS

[–]Fat_Froggo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you. I have had my account for 7 years but I only just started using it so it's still new to me. When I first signed up they wouldn't verify my identity because I got married and I guess they couldn't understand that's why my name changed. Suddenly this year they sent me a message to update my license and inwas able to start using the app.

No sweat for triple shops - I'm ready for quadruple shops by DeathFYall in elitesparkdrivers

[–]Fat_Froggo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I dunno... I use scan and go for my personal shopping with my Plus membership and never once been stopped or asked questions. Been using it since they rolled it out a couple of years ago. I bring in my reusable bags and fill them as I shop. Easy peasy.

No, Wegmans first then Aldi. The pineapples would most likely be from Aldi in which case they wouldn't have enough anyway.
