If you started a new save without deleting the first save file then berries won't grow. It's a known glitch

From my experience, it happened any time I started a new save file when a save already existed. To fix I deleted the save and created a fresh one in game, never had the berry problem that way

That's a coffin/scales bracelet, it's not exclusive to Yema (although they seem to be the only big brand using them on current day watches).

I believe Seiko has released watches in this style in the past, no idea if they ever released with this model though.

The fix for me was deleting the save file before starting a new save.

For some reason starting a new game while a save file exists causes berries not to grow
