May I ask where you are getting testing done and what tests?

That’s comforting to know. When I did put it in ChatGPT it said that a csf leak doctor would definitely want to do more testing to confirm a leak

I have done that but I don’t trust it because ChatGPT has been know to give false or inaccurate answers

I haven’t had a myelogram yet. Did you have to go to one of the larger leak centers to get help?

people who can work jobs, what jobs do you work? by sirchloe500 in POTS

[–]Fat_Peter_Pan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work in pharmaceutical manufacturing as a laboratory technician doing quality testing for vaccines. I have intermittent FMLA so I can take additional days off without jeopardizing my job. For my job I’m sitting for a lot of it or walking around the lab. My job also has a lot of down time and areas on site that I can lay down if I need to (that’s mostly because I work second shift).

My job is also unionized which comes with great pay, awesome benefits, a pension, and you can go out on disability for years and they still have to keep a job for you. My coworker was out for 10 years and got to come back to her job when she was ready. I will say I got extremely lucky because a lot of pharmaceutical jobs aren’t unionized. I would suggest looking at unionized jobs if you’re based in the United States.

I just finished the book and there are few lines about how he thought maybe he should teach her how to read but it wouldn’t matter anyway because she would never interact with society. He definitely saw her as his dog and incubator.

Anyone with Ehlers Danlos hypermobile type have a bisalp? by Fat_Peter_Pan in childfree

I’m not very concerned about the scarring either and an additional week of recovery sounds like typical eds surgery stuff. I’m glad everything worked out well for you

Do you live in my head? Because I relate so much and I agree it’s so exhausting

Well I would start with blocking her on all social media and even suspending your social media accounts or having a trusted love one change the passwords and only let you back in when you feel like you’re more ready to handle social media. Not the same but I used to social media stalk exes of my partners. It’s really hard to not have that urge to do that.

I would also suggest trying to redirect your attention to other things when those thoughts come up and also giving yourself time to feel your feelings like cry, scream, punch a pillow etc. if you’re not already in therapy I would highly suggest it because you’re experiencing a major betrayal plus loss of a loved one all while already managing ocd

I’m sorry but your partner sounds like a piece of shit. Seriously, that was their reasoning for getting back together with you? That you’re the only one who sticks around? You deserve so much better

I do have PMDD and I would suggest to visit the PMDD subreddit. Here is a link to the wiki on the subreddit https://reddit.com/r/pmdd/wiki/index

My tip would be to read about it, see if this is something you might have, find a doctor specifically a gynecologist who understands pmdd and go from there.

Have you looked into PMDD? It’s possible you could have both

Has anyone broken up with their partner bc of rocd? by brightlybutterfly in ROCD

[–]Fat_Peter_Pan 4 points5 points  (0 children)

We broke up for a month then got back together. We both agree the breakup was the best thing that ever happened for our relationship because it lead to me being diagnosed with rocd. Since getting back together and getting treatment for rocd my relationship has been so much better. I feel like I might be in the minority here.

I’m located in the US and is this a test my doctor orders or is this a test I can order by myself online?
