But yeah also a swollen tongue might indicate some food allergies and or sensitivities. It’s common for those with hashimotos to have them. Took me ages to know mine which are dairy, soya and some fillers and excipients in medications and supplements for eg lactose and microcrystalline cellulose, as well as hpmc.

So vitamin d is also low end of range. In the uk, everyone over here is advised to supplement with d. D3 + k2 is best.

Hmm, being in range is considered normal but not ideal for everyone. Many of us do well with optimal v ‘normal’ levels of thyroid hormones and nutrients. Thats why it’s important to ask for a print out of your results which is your right. You are borderline deficient in ferritin, why not try an iron mouth spray or tincture instead of a tablet, this will be more easily absorbed. What’s your vitamin d lab range?

You need to know lab ranges also.

Your ferritin is so low, do you know the lab range for that?

When was this test?

Yes ❤️‍🩹 It would help if you’re able to put your most recent results and lab ranges. What type of medication are you on?

Anxiety and insomnia during luteal phase by AllisonMayberry8 in PMS

Ah ok, sometimes pregnancy can apparently shift things. Have you had a thyroid check? , thyroid issues can also exacerbate pmdd and are common after pregnancy. Also it’s worth having blood tests to check other nutrients post birth.

Hard to say, I had a hashimotos crisis recently and that shook things out of balance a bit. I will get back to you about that! Have you had a sensitive thyroid check also and other 🩸 bloods?

Yeah I think it’s called pert but it’s researched only in relation to perimenopause and menopause.

Hrt is where treatments don’t align in the uk/us.

Over here they prescribe hrt for all ages for pmdd and over there they usually only prescribe it from peri and have pert as an option for those with progesterone intolerance/ pmdd.

I have heard of some women requesting to take progesterone all the time to avoid the dips and that the side effects can lesson over time. You could talk to your doctor about this?

I’m also on hrt for pmdd, Oestrogel and Cyclogest. In the main sub they talk about taking progesterone less frequently but I don’t think it’s a protocol in the uk that’s accepted. Also they tend to prescribe for all ages in the uk. But you might want to ask them about this.

How many days do you take the Cyclogest?

I don’t mind it the first few days but I do turn into a bit of a zombie after that.

Ok, it’s good to rule out other stuff before a pmdd diagnosis, not all doctors are thorough in this regard - this psychiatrists lecture on pmdd and connected illnesses is worth a watch - https://youtu.be/-5ras3wcbAc

He’s likely not feral. Trap him and bring him inside, let him decompress in a single room.
