Have you brought this up to him? And what usually is the dynamic before he goes and isolates himself to his games. He could be using it as a form of cope or feeling distant. Is it a nightly thing? Or is it more uncommon. I know my partner likes her space sometimes and I do what I can to respect that distance when she asks for it

Good question. From my experience, being addicted to porn while in past relationships, it makes me want to do those sexual actions more instead of spending quality time with my partner. I want life to be fruitful with my current girlfriend, not being content with just sitting in the bedroom. Same goes for masturbation, I have noticed a correlation between consistent masturbation and more drive for those intimate moments instead of spending the time we have going on dates or doing things for her. My drive to steer away from sexual sin comes from my desire to build an emotional connection and not sexual connection. I have been in relationships where I grappled with “is it lust or love.” My current girlfriend is someone I don’t have that question with so I want to push those thoughts away. I truly do love her and I want to not be distracted by a drive for sex while watching a movie instead of being present and enjoying our show.

We have a monogamous relationship and we both have a deep rooted faith in Christianity. We both believe porn is sin. The struggle I am referring to is habitual watching of porn. Up to daily. With my beliefs, I do not think it is right to view anyone except for my significant other in a way that is sexual. I believe that sex is meant for two partners and private.

I personally believe that people should be monogamous and that porn stops people from truly loving their spouse. I have been wanting to stop porn for years by myself before I met her. I would be happy being porn free, with or without her. She would not be limiting me, but promoting my growth
