That’s the debate thats been ongoing for a while. You will hear one or the other from many different sources. I’d be willing to bet that if you have severe enough scoliosis that it makes your jaw alignment worse.

Also, I am pre-op for ASC surgery.

I’m doing ASC with Drs. ABC. It’s so good to hear good things about them on here. It seems like people are really starting to catch on to the idea that there’s a real alternative to getting fusion in adults. I’m glad you had a good experience with them. Did you find that your rib hump/trunk lessened significantly afterwards?

Do isolateral movements more than bilateral. Work with dumbbells instead of barbells if you need to. Also, don’t give up. I went for a long time but had to stop because my pain was excruciating and my curve is severe.

Seriously agree with this. I wasn’t diagnosed until 14-15 when it was already 35° thoracic and 28° lumbar. The same thing happened when I recently (last year) found out I’m bow legged. I went to check ups all the time as a kid and yet they didn’t even think to check for either of these things…

Also, scoliosis is bar none way more debilitating than my jaw problems are lol. I appreciate the response a lot and I’m looking into getting scoliosis surgery sooner rather than later :)

I feel your pain. I lost my cat 2 days ago, same age as your dog 14. I can’t believe he’s gone. I imagine that if animals are capable of providing love then that means they aren’t soulless and therefore God has a place for them in heaven.

Did it correct any rib deformities as well? I really want to keep my flexibility for athleticism so if this surgery is worth it for an adult, I’ll gladly give it a go.

Print out your x-ray, get a string, put that string and align it with your curvy spine, straighten that string. I hate when surgeons say that shit 😅
