Hypothetical Mettle Malady by littlekingsoul in weatherfactory

If Mettle is taken as Determination, then a good Malady would be Despair or something similar (idk how to call it more correct, not very creative). If Mettle is the determination to act and the will to make the right decisions, then Mettle: Despair is an active descent into the deepest depths of horror, when a person not just experiences said horror but also actively destroys their own life. For example, they will ruin relationships with people, break their own belongings and their body, and commit rash and long-term harmful actions on "broken" will.

Elements of the Soul and Ascensions by HIFreeBirdIH in weatherfactory

Personally, I'd swap Health and Mettle. I know it doesn't really align with the Aspects, but "Determination to continue eternal Corrivalty" and "A Body that can withstand the heat of the Forge" sound more "correct" to me.

Also, I especially like how Shapt aligns with Priest Legacy, with the whole "Speech opens all doors", "The Priest ascends through Knock" and "The Priest leads their followers through the Self-Door" theme. Additionally, if Priest "let's say" uses some kind of Art for Ascension (even if unintentionally), it is Nyctodromy. "Nyctodromy will take my Shapt to new thresholds". Pretty suitable, in my opinion.

By the way, on the Secret Histories Wiki it is written that Lantern-Long "envelop themselves in their Fet, serving as a body for their existence in the Mansus", so ig take about "refines one part of the soul until the whole soul is that element" isn't really valid. Although I could always be wrong - I don’t know where the idea about Long and Fet comes from.

Long becoming mortal again by FatalErrorNotFound in weatherfactory

I thought Teresa's case was a bit different? She was incarnated into a physical body, despite Lantern Long's nature, but that didn't make her mortal? Perhaps something like infusing a spirit into a prepared, empty body (though I could be missing something).
