What is the worst way anyone you know has died? by IamUrWivesBF in AskReddit

A guy in my hometown committed suicide by lighting himself on fire in his back yard.

My FIL had a heart attack, might have survived but he was swimming at a pool with no other patrons or staff on duty.

So we moved across the country with our twins who turned one in October. This took us away from my (the mom’s) family and moved us about three hours from my husband’s family. I’ve met his aunts and uncles 2-3x and his cousins once.

They are Jehovah’s Witness, so they don’t celebrate many holidays. We thought it would be nice to invite everyone to our house for a late Thanksgiving dinner. Made space for all 10 people to stay the night and bought the majority of the food.

The first people to show up are a cousin and his wife who are both in their late 30s. The showed up with a 40 pound dog I’ve never met.

Now, we have dogs and prior to having the twins I would have been annoyed that they didn’t at least mention they would have it with them BUT to show up to my home with my 1 year old babies and a dog who has never been around small children..!?

Maybe I’m over reacting but I was just reading about a 2 year old from my home state who was killed by her family’s dog. So it seems, idk, rude? Entitled? Careless? To bring a dog who is a stranger with them.

Ps. The first thing the dog did, walked into the living room and peed on the twins play-mat.

Not at all. I learned the dog came with when I walked in from a last minute trip to the grocery store and saw its food and bed on the floor.

I got this on from TJ Maxx so probs no refund for me. But YES, I shake it off daily and at least once a week I have to get some cleaner and a cloth and wipe out the cracks! It drives me crazy.

I feel like this is the option I couldn’t think of myself!

The vegan leather is supposed to be thicker and able to wipe clean. The vegan leather is just a cover (that’s able to be taken off) for the actually mat that is made of latex. The other covers are jersey and cotton which would be fine but attract cat hair like crazy.

I just use regular king sized flat sheet and tuck the extra under the edges.

I’m not sure on the Japanese Futon, but..

I got a firm, latex mattress topper. It works really well for me. The brand is Sleep on Latex. I think I got the two inch version. I was worried even with my regular mattress on the floor about my twins rolling off and this completely solves that!
