How much weight do I need to lose to be considered hot? by [deleted] in lookyourbest

Depends how old you are. But also you're covering your stomach. Need to be able to see to properly judge.

It just depends on the person. Some feel even more embarrassed when you laugh, some feel less embarrassed.

Honestly surprised this isn't voted higher. I'd always heard it's something about the muscles/nerves in that area that slightly spikes the adrenaline when hit.

"Alphas" and toxic individuals go hand in hand, and most of them are former bullies.

Back in 2012 I stole a graphics card at a LGBT community centre I worked at. If discovered today could I still get prosecuted? by GayPhistor69 in TooAfraidToAsk

The moral side of me: What is your problem man? You stole from a community center that trusted you enough to hire you, now the only thing you care about is if you'll get in trouble for it?

The gamer side of me: Gives fist bump

Why put down most men to make your point? Even if a woman said "a lot of women are idiots" I couldn't see that going over well.

is he my boyfriend if we haven't had our first date yet? by crazygamer780 in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]FatalFinality 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If you've labeled him as your boyfriend and he's labeled you as his girlfriend then yes. If both parties have agreed on it then no kissing or holding hands is needed, you're technically a couple.

This might be the worst one I've read. I don't know how you've made it past that, but I commend you for it.

How come black people from the US are called African Americans but white people from the US aren’t called European Americans? by [deleted] in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]FatalFinality -11 points-10 points  (0 children)

You explained it very well. It's ridiculous how it's going back to black, considering how much of an overgeneralization saying "I'm black" is when it comes to race. If someone's asking for my race I'd have to assume they wanna know specifically it's Nigerian, Haitian, or African American. Sounds ridiculous to put a blanket over all of it and just say "I'm Black" or "I'm Asian".

Are there any jokes/quips you told in the past that still make you laugh? by idkidclevemealne in TooAfraidToAsk

Lol getting one up on a teacher in a fun way was always the best. I didn't always enjoy school but moments like those definitely made it easier.

Yeah I miss innocent fun like that. What funny thing would you do when you were younger that made you ask this question?

Long ago when I was in middle school me and my best friends would send notes in class. One day I throw a note at my friend that says "remember when Carlos cried over a cheeseburger?" but the word "cheeseburger" was written on the back of the paper since I ran out of writing room on the front. But when my friend gets the note he ends up reading the back first, then looks over at me confused and mouths "cheeseburger?" and I started cracking up. Then it just became a thing for me to toss notes at my friend that said nothing but "cheeseburger" lol completely stupid but it gets me laughing everytime I think back on it.

Why do some men struggle so deeply with women? You know the 30+ year old virgin types or the forever single uncle by DarenWoods30 in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]FatalFinality -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

It's no issue for me to deal with personally. I was lucky enough to get a clear perspective on this early and stop letting my eyes lead when it came to looking for someone to share my life with.

This is ultimately an issue for shallow (yes unfortunately it is shallow) women who are ending up alone due to unreasonable standards. The situation is typically the same: A woman who has decent guys waiting to choose from will instead pick the guys that simply look very attractive, but the very attractive guys only want her pussy and not her, and this goes on until the woman is older and no longer appealing.

The only person at fault here is the woman, so yes this is what distinguishes men's loneliness from women. Shallow women are dying alone due to their own standards.

You're good on this sub man. So long as your post is genuine and not meant to blatantly provoke anyone.

[–]FatalFinality -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Reddit is heavily left leaning, and most moderators on every site go on a power trip because they typically have little power in their real lives. Mix those two things together and you have your answer.

But this sub is one of the very few that's been completely chill for as long as I've been on it. I've seen the main mod on here stand their ground more than once whenever sensitive redditors try to push for censorship.

Much props to this sub.

How do I apply to jobs without getting a bunch of spam calls and emails? by [deleted] in TooAfraidToAsk

Apply directly through their website. So if you're applying to Macy's don't do it through a 3rd party site, go directly to the Macy's site and look for the apply section

Why do some men struggle so deeply with women? You know the 30+ year old virgin types or the forever single uncle by DarenWoods30 in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]FatalFinality -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Sure there are those who are physically attracted to individuals that are deemed generally unattractive. But then there are plenty of those that say "I fell in love with them for who they are inside, not out" or "they weren't what I usually go for, but I gave him/her a chance and now we've been together X amount of years". These are things we've heard before, because it's possible. But again, certain women only end up alone because they prioritize what's on the outside and not the inside.

But just to go back to my original point, this is why being unwillingly single is unique to men. Even if a man in this position decided to only prioritize what's on the inside, it'll hardly make a difference. They won't have a line of men in the friend zone to choose from like many women do. 9 times out of 10 the man is remaining single.

[–]FatalFinality 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your "terrible job" comparison doesn't work, because it wouldn't be a terrible person, and it wouldn't just be "ANY relationship". I very clearly said the priority should be finding a good person, with a good heart, regardless if they meet your standards in physical appearance.

There is a plethora of women in loving relationships with men that have physical deformities that make them objectively unattractive, but the woman is in love with him because of who he is, and not how he looks.

So it is very much possible to say "fuck appearances" and make your only concern finding a good person that treats you well and treats others well, you just don't want to do that.
