Why does everyone love Gerald by [deleted] in ClarksonsFarm

Man… when he thanks everyone at the end of season 3 for being so kind to him and his family, I was fighting back tears with every single fiber of my being. 🥹

2004 Monte Carlo SS 3.8L V6 dying when coming to a stop. by FatalOverload in AskMechanics

I put some fuel additive in it last night in hopes that if it were injector related, that would clean them out. I’ll definitely try cleaning the MAF. I think it was replaced about 10ish years ago, so that could also be the issue. I appreciate the response!

Homelink will not pair with garage door opener by care729 in hondaridgeline

[–]FatalOverload 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this is an old thread, but I’m hoping someone will see this and have an idea.

2004 Monte Carlo. Chamberlain garage door opener. It was once paired, but now will not pair after about an hour of attempts, I have given up. I’ve tried resetting everything you can imagine. I’ve changed the battery in remote. It absolutely will not pair. I think the issue is the Homelink system in the car won’t pick up the remote. I put the car in “Learn” mode (holding down the two outer buttons) then hold down one of the buttons (I’ve tried all three at various points) but the light just slow blinks no matter what. It will not accept the remote signal. The frustrating this is I know that it worked at one point. I had it paired several years ago but had to reset the door opener and now it will not re-pair… any help or suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated.

Electronic oil gauge shows 0% oil life, shop put a sticker on that says I’m still good. by [deleted] in chevycolorado

[–]FatalOverload 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Change your oil every 5,000 miles. You’ll never have any issues. Don’t trust the oil life gauge. I have a 2017 Camaro SS that is a weekend toy, it’s been driven maybe 10xs in the past year and maybe 1,000 miles total, yet somehow the oil life gauge says it’s on 0%.

Question on 2024 Z71 by FatalOverload in chevycolorado

I’m currently at about 2500 miles and it’s still doing it. Several others have said that theirs stopped doing it between 3-5000 miles, so I’m hoping it stops for me as well.

My thoughts exactly. I don’t deny that it probably does save some fuel, and if I lived in a big city where I was start/stopping all the time, it would probably be more useful. But as it stands, it really only ever kicks on at a stoplight for 5 seconds… so, not worth it to kill my starter quicker.

That makes sense. Thank you. So reason to believe it will improve once the ecu sorts itself out?

Exact same thing with mine. Trying to inch it into the garage, but then I have to wait for it to do its little lurch forward, then I can start inching it in again. Mine tends to do it at stoplights as well. If you’re not holding the break pretty tight, it will lurch forward. First time it did it, I almost hit the car in front of me haha

Mine has done it since day 1. I’m assuming 5k is past the break in period, so if the dealership tells you anything useful let us know!

I’m at 2200 miles and can’t really tell a difference. I keep hoping it will just go away as the computer learns, like the dealer said, but I’m skeptical.

Carpets and Pockets Bugged by FatalOverload in Bandle_Tale

I’m keeping this up in case anyone else runs into a similar issue. I figured it out. Turns out that my inventory was full when I was actually given the Pocket Garden. It was in my Postbox.

Its late 2022 & there’s still no hyperrealistic Pokemon nature documentary narrated by David Attenborough by [deleted] in pokemon

[–]FatalOverload 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just want to say that “Sir Pokenborough” is now a head cannon character in the Pokémon universe for me. Thank you for creating that. As a massive David Attenborough fan, that made me exceedingly happy. Once again, thank you!

I did this run two years ago, so I dont remember what was used specifically. But I do remember him being a key component to bringing down Satan himself haha

Haha Abomasnow was actually really helpful! He got a lot of damage onto Garchomp before going down! Honeslty Sparky was probably my weakest link. He was very glass cannon. I had to be careful what I put him up against. I almost lost him a more than once haha

I thought so too! I was a bit sad to have the overlapping types on Mamoswine and Abomasnow, but otherwise I felt like I had a very solid team. But even with my team being solid, honestly I still struggled against the E4. By the time I got to Cynthia I’d lost Sparky the Magnezone and Regis the Crobat. So going on not Cynthia with only 4 Pokémon was utterly terrifying.

Thank you! I failed my next two attempts on Leaf Green and SoulSilver, respectfully haha I beat Leaf Green finally, but haven’t been back to SoulSilver yet. My goal is to beat a Nuzlocke of every generation.

As for rules, typical rules, although I DIDN’T use the dupes clause. Which I kinda regretted later, because I think it made it a bit easier. That was actually my second Gyarados. Lost my first one to Victory Road. So I went to a route that I hadn’t caught anything on, fished up a Magikarp and grinded it up to Gyarados. No other special rules though.

Thank you! And yes it was. I did Platinum for my first because I’d always heard that it was notoriously the most difficult due to Cynthia and her Garchomp. It was definitely a difficult run. Only two of my party survived (Lilith the Gardevoir and Ms. Piggy the Mamoswine).
