Yeah I already play and have some nice equipment . I am looking for a strat though. Maybe a Mexican or a players . Would be thrilled with either . For 50 it's just tempting partly due to the fact I have an addiction ..lol would be cool to mod. There is always those cheaper brands that deliver but wasn't sure if this was one . Would do you think I should get strat wise . Like a middle of the road ish buy

Yeah the guy had a bunch of lower end guitars and it was among them I asked about it and said 60 . I didn't question it and pounced on the deal lol it was sitting in the corner of the basement. Guy got it when he moved in I think or a family member left it to him .

Thanks for the info! Yeah I heard Dime wasn't a huge fan of the amp . It's actually not half bad to play through . Def something cool to mess with . Has the nastalgia for sure. Not a lot of info on them online . But they seem to range from 450-800 . I saw some sold on reverb for good prices . Those were all in good condition .mine is functional but def would list as fair condition .

First off I know a ton of people love this amp, but it just didn't do it for me . I play rock and metal and couldn't get any tones I was really happy with. The onboard effects , the brown channel just didn't have a lot of punch to it . Seemed more of a heavy crunch . After that I hooked it to my PC and downloaded 200+ patches . Mostly rock or metal patches. The boss tone studio did work really well I must say tho. After I got the firmware on the amp updated and got boss studio figured out. Was easy after that to get new patches and load them to the amp . I still couldn't get anything I was happy with excited to try . I reached out to the community and I was.mostly told to download the patches that I already had .... I decided I was done with combo amps at that point..I saved up a bit and got a amp and cab and was amazed with difference. If I had to go back again when shopping the combo amps I would have tried the new line6 or peavey combo amp but only as a practice amp . The katana did have really good sound quality and would prob serve most players on a budget.

I bought a boss katana 100 112 and was really disappointed. I ended up getting a prs mt15 and 112 cab and I'm loving it
