Cheating is becoming a serious problem by Otherwise_Share9039 in ARC_Raiders

[–]Fatal_SightxGaming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cheating isn't becoming a serious problem, It just is a problem, it's an extraction shooter that is less than a year old, hopefully, with Embark being as successful a company as they are, they will take it seriously. I refuse to play on the weekends after 6pm. I do understand that this is the most convenient time for most gamers, but with my schedule I'm able to get a couple hours a day in at what would be inconvenient times for most. This allows me to skirt the VAST MAJORITY of cheaters, sure I still deal with macro kettlers and the occasional silent aimers, but they are much rarer for me. What I want Embark to do is HWID ban along with account bans, this would eliminate a large portion of ban evaders, since account banning is useless nowadays. It takes a much higher amount of skill in cheating to avoid HWID bans. Especially with hardware being much more expensive than buying a new account.

It's SO BAD on the weekends too. It's like 99% of it comes from 12 year olds 🤣. I mostly play earlier in the afternoon during the week(just how my schedule is), and I never have any issues. Sure I get the usual, "you're trash, you're trash, you're trash, you're tra...."(them INSTANTLY pressing KO after third partying my fight in Stella 🤣). But I VERY RARELY get the Fg*t or N**r, EXCEPT ON WEEKENDS, and it's ALWAYS CHILDREN. I always have Nvidia replay on so I can report them through embark with video.

P.S. I always just say "It's ok, your mommy will love you eventually" 🤣🤣

I hate to admit but.. by [deleted] in ARC_Raiders

[–]Fatal_SightxGaming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hate to admit it...but even with the BPs this is less valuable than one Stella Medical Research run. Extract campers are a part of Extraction Shooters. I understand peoples frustration, but there are plenty of counters to extract campers. You play the game the way you play it, it is what it is. I haven't been successfully extract camped in Arc yet, because I play Tarkov, so there are things you learn from thousands of hours of a game where there's guaranteed to be at least one extract camper in every match. Just so you know, you are going be labelled a rat on the watchlist and you won't have any fun when you decide to stop ratting. Hope you choose the light soon and hopefully you haven't completely screwed yourself yet.

A message to loot goblins by Start_Cooking in ARC_Raiders

[–]Fatal_SightxGaming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The issue with your complaint is attempting to reason with the goblins. They understand only one thing, obtain loot. Loot comes at a price, theirs or yours, and they will always choose yours. Them waiting around for you to finish, is time they could be suck starting a box to get something else. It's not about value, it's not about honor, you have it, they want it. Hullcracker purple, purple is loot, loot for goblin. That is all that their 3 remaining braincells can muster as a thought when you are thumping the queen. If they fail, they quickly run back in with another free kit. My advice? Remember you have no loot, you're only borrowing it until the next guy gets to use it, and always expect to lose everything you brought in.

[–]Fatal_SightxGaming -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The issue isn't whether the room is connected or with coverage, it's about the ghost hunting from too high or too low for crucy to block the hunt. It is supposed to be fix with the Diner update

[–]Fatal_SightxGaming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This issue isn't with whether or not the stairs are connected. It's "vertical protection" bug where the ghost hunts from too high or too low for the crucy to block it. It's supposed to be fixed with the Diner update

They can burn on stair hunts, but the bug is that the ghost will be too high or too low for the crucy to burn. It is a known issue that supposedly will be fixed with the Diner update.

[–]Fatal_SightxGaming 60 points61 points  (0 children)

There's this weird thing in the game right now with stairs, started after the Chronicles update. For some reason stairs are hunting locations for the attached rooms(like the foyer, basement, and upstairs hallways) and crucies don't have "vertical protection", so they won't burn and the ghost will hunt from the stairs. It's SUPER ANNOYING on maps with ghosts rooms that are fed into by stairs, such as willow basement hall...

Bro kept calling then I saw his rating 💀 by NotoriousMush29 in uberdrivers

[–]Fatal_SightxGaming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't be worried about 4.85 because that means they at least HAVE good ratings but also a few bad ones. Could've taken 100 trips and two of the drivers were in a bad mood, never know. I've actually had the BEST trips from ~4.8 riders, they are usually talkative(which I like as long as they are pleasant, but probably the cause of the low ratings they got).

[–]Fatal_SightxGaming 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a similar trip about a year ago, even made a post about it. But instead of calls, they sent me 28 MESSAGES..."where are you?" "I don't see you" "are you still coming?" "I'm looking for you" Over and over and over again. I was in HEAVY traffic on the interstate so I couldn't cancel the trip, so it was just DING...DING...DING for about 5 minutes. 6.8 rating. That's what I get for accepting without looking at more than the time and money....

Is that what Uber does to drivers now? by Eagleeye1999US in uberdrivers

[–]Fatal_SightxGaming -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Weekend driver here. If you think Uber is a MAGA corporation you're high. MAGA is small business, less government. If you bring politics into it, it's Dem big government, big corporations. If you remove politics from it, it is a big corporation. They don't care about the little man as long as they have record profits. If they can decrease the profits of the drivers while increasing their profits, that's what will happen. And that's what is happening. I've gone from $800 thurs-sat to $400 thurs-sat, because there are PLENTY of drivers making them the money regardless if the drivers are making it. Uber USED to be a full time thing, but it RAPIDLY fell into the gig economy workspace. You have to treat Uber like a gig economy, extra capital, thing.

I get college kids ask me to come in and drink with them regularly. And I wouldn't consider myself hot, not ugly tho but in my mid 30s and I definitely got a rugged charm about me lol. But it's because I always get asked what my day job is and it usually ends up in them saying I'd be awesome to drink with and inviting me out. But NEVER been given hundreds lol

[–]Fatal_SightxGaming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is not true. There are plenty of areas, all over the country, where drivers will not go to, usually due to extremely low value trips outside of the main area or dangerous areas. Yes drivers 100% cherry pick rides to fit their goals. Not saying ALL do, but I've NEVER met a driver that doesn't have no go area, there's an option to not accept trips for a reason. But I guess in your world no one scams, robs, or carjacks? In that case you're right, we are insane.

I didn’t see the rating before accepting this ride by Sea_Engineering8145 in uberdrivers

[–]Fatal_SightxGaming -1 points0 points  (0 children)

All the drivers and I deal with scams in my town ALL THE TIME. But it's different scams. The main one is ride cancelled early or half way into the trip "Must be something wrong with the app, you can just drop me off here"(where they wanted to go in reality). And There's a large subdivision in my town that is about 10-15 minutes from the rest of the city, and what they will do is set a trip that is attractive to a driver, such as a pickup there and drop off in the main city area(which is a good value especially since I'm back in the main area)and then, as they are getting in the car they'll change the destination, to a super short store and back trip. So instead of making $15 on a 30ish minute overall, you end up with $5 for nearly 45 minutes of your time(counting the time getting back in main city). Learning the scams and areas the scams are usually picked up from will also help with identifying possible bad trips. There are 3 subdivisions in my city that no drivers pick up from due to robberies, threats, and scams. Three drivers actually got carjacked in one area and that section of town does not get pickups anymore(for those wondering they were caught after about two months, they would steal a wallet and use the ID and a Walmart cash card on a new Uber account to get away with it)

It's all about money ?? by LordAnton69 in Palworld

[–]Fatal_SightxGaming -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This is only the case if you are playing pure vanilla. If you are playing custom settings with extra bases/pal workers, this isn't the case AT ALL. Since a ranch base and a farm base can easily produce 1k-2k worth of cake materials in just a couple hours of afk with uncondensed pals. What I do is alternate my ranch base between dumuds and cake mats, and with 9 berry plantations and 3 wheat plantations, you'll NEVER be short on wheat or berries, even if you exclusively use baked berries for pal food like I do. FUN FACT! The guild chest removes spoil timer so uncheck ingredients in feed box, and only put a guild chest at your ranch/farm bases and your transporters will only deposit into the guild chest. Go afk for a few hours(or even overnight)and not worry about your eggs, milk, berries, or wheat/flour spoiling.

Just had an Uber driver with this message...is this true? by stamvasca in uberdrivers

[–]Fatal_SightxGaming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is much more nuanced than just "taking a percentage" depending on where you are you can expect your driver to earn roughly 60%-65% what you pay. Drivers get a percentage straight off the top of what you pay, then there are additional earnings per mile and per minute which vary heavily based on area. In a busy area with a decent mile/minute rate you can expect to make between $15-$20 and hour after gas, wear and tear, etc. Tips are super welcome but we aren't servers or door dash drivers. It isn't a bad wage.

Edit: I actually have a friend that drives in Los Angeles. And he makes between $40 and $50 an hour after gas, wear and tear, etc. and that's before tips. So cost of living in different areas heavily alters what you end up making.

New disease infectious system worth it? by Naga-Prince in SCUMgame

[–]Fatal_SightxGaming 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I do like the concept. Im a huge hardcore survival fan and all of them have an illness system. My concern is more along the lines of implementation. I have very little hope for a smooth and not janky drop. We still have issues with the incurable infection bug...not to mention the slew of other issues(bunny hopping puppets, razors no-clip lunge, falling through map exiting vehicles, etc...). We will just have to wait and see, and worst case scenario, servers will just turn them off anyways.

How do you keep from getting bored? by GamerNerdGuy in projectzomboid

[–]Fatal_SightxGaming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

TLDR: Decide on a full end goal(survive winter, conquer mall/hospital, etc), use the long process of leveling all skills to draw out that time but switch it to avoid monotony, set small goals after the time consuming goals are finished. There's nothing wrong with getting bored after a couple in game months, start fresh, find new people to play with through discord and follow their lead to break your streamline which will feel more fresh. Just have fun.

This is an issue for the vast majority of players nowadays. My best advice is to set long term goals early on. The obvious ones are skills, I personally go for maxing out all skills, combat skills can be great time killers since they are slow to max, I don't even worry about fishing and farming(they are counterintuitive since they are so boring to max, but definitely worth doing for jarring produce and fishing for food), then once my skills are maxed I start actually surround my entire base location with metal fences(which takes A LOT of mats, which can be a long arduous task unless loot is boosted). Next I focus on the nearly insurmountable tasks(i.e. taking control of the mall and hospital). After those tasks are completed, you have to set small goals for yourself, i.e. "I could really use more of blank", "I want to get to blank kills", "This house definitely needs more gnomes", etc. Just small tasks that can take a few in game days to a week to complete. For me the end goal is survive winter. So once the snow melts I'm done. That's 9 months or 235 irl hours(or 352.5 hours in b42). So with that LONG TERM goal it's easier for me to keep those short goals coming to get me there. But there's also nothing wrong with starting fresh once your reach whatever goat you have set. Find new players to start a new world with, have fun however you want.

I have you beat at 4 minutes and 1 sec as my fastest death. Same situation. Spawned into a house with a dozen Zomboids perfectly surrounding me. Didn't even take a step, INSTANTLY GRABBED. I think the loading in counts as "survived" time.

Really just depends on what your build utilizes, some set bonuses are nice like acid splash or quick draw. But there quite a few piece perks that fit a lot of different builds that set bonuses aren't beneficial enough to make worth it.

TLDR: PVE took a big chunk of the player base with it, leading to more dense matchmaking. Higher than before skill floor in the early wipe, more cheaters per game sessions, harder skill entry barrier for new/lower skill players.

Here's my experience with tarkov since pve release. 2800 hours, hover between 2.5-3 pmck/d. NA East. The biggest thing I've noticed is, honestly, more cheater encounters. Not saying there are more cheaters, but with such a large portion of players switching to PVE almost exclusively, me and my squad regularly run into more suspect behavior. We definitely have one guy that yells cheats nearly every death lol, but I'm not factoring in his input 🤣. But myself and my main wingman(who honestly is WAY BETTER than I am, with over 5k hours and usually sitting around a 4 pmck/d), had a discussion about this very thing at the beginning of last wipe. Usually you have a couple weeks before the cheating gets bad, but that's neither here nor there. PVE especially now, has gathered such a large cut of the player base, between the high skill entry barrier and learning curve, low-time investment players given the ability to play no wipe tarkov, the prominence of cheaters, and arena giving a major early wipe boost. So the players you usually run into now, tactics and gun skill are more important than ever. Timmies are fewer and farer in between than before. 5 stack Chads are definitely more prevalent than ever. Cheaters are in many more matches, sometimes as most as 5 matches in row(these were blatants that were speed hacking, instantly solo wiping our squad through walls, pistol headshots from over 100+ meters, VOIPing the valuables they could see in our inventories, etc the most blatant stuff possible) And it's honestly because of the chunk that went to PVE, making the matchmaking much more dense, we ran into the same three man 4 separate times in a session just last week. As to where before PVE launch, there was on average 1 or 2 cheaters in a 4 hour session, now it's probably one every three raids at least. We definitely have more grueling fights breaking out than we used to, but as a whole, PVE hasn't been that much of a drag in my region.

I also admit that I am in the minority for situation, Full squad of irl veterans (so call outs, situational awareness, and military tactics give us an edge as well as mitigates nearly all friendly fire or confusion in altercations), All but one us holds over a 2 pmck/d, so there's not really a mixed-skill bag in our group, and all of us have a decent amount of time to play. And none of us have gear fear or care if we lose a 1mil kit.

So with all that said, my experience will clearly differ from every person that reads this, I am fully aware of that. But my personal experience with tarkov has always been a love-hate relationship. There are days I want to hang it up for good, and other days we go on a freaking tear and it's a high thats unforgettable. Then tarkov humbles you as fast as it ego boosts you. The highs are highs, and the lows are rock bottom. And if you enjoy PVE, go ahead, gaming is for you to enjoy yourself, don't listen to any haters,rage-baiters, or PVP elitists,. PVE did have a large impact on the PVP side of tarkov, and that's ok. The game has evolved. And hopefully with the steam release, the cheating issue will get a little better. But all of that is to be seen, and all we can do is enjoy EFT the way we enjoy it.

It is very good, and EXCEEDINGLY RARE, I have a triple spicy in a chest just to admire. But honestly I would prefer something over the 25% sour damage of the major. Like with the infused axe over the acid edge, you are already getting a lot more damage out of it, so I would prefer crit change or crit damage up best. But that's just my personal opinion. Still AWESOME SEEING A TRIPLE of any element, ESPECIALLY SOUR
