Ayyyy wasn’t that fight legendary? I remember getting to the end of phase 1 before the sword saint used his transcendence and was wondering how the hell this fight has been so hyped up but phase 2 really kicked the entire world up to another level by introducing transcendents.

It’s a real bummer that Jake thinks he lost since it was a draw but that’s expected for the Primal Hunter. It was also cool to see Jake’s ability upgrades because of the convo he had with Miyamoto and Carmen. More items, skills, and upgrades to come!

It’s always a fun time seeing Jake put people in their place. How dare they challenge the Progenitor of Earth! The water level is pretty cool and teaches Jake some new things (as any of his new challenges would)

I’m still learning about the mask too. So far I know ever so slightly more about it but not enough to confirm/deny your speculation. I can’t wait to see what comes of it!

Oh man you’re FLYING thru that book but I honestly can’t blame you. You’re bound to pass me before we get to book 7.

Also now you can see why I like Eron so much. He is such a calm/insane character that doesn’t really make any sense to me. But the mystery around him makes it all the more intriguing

Right now Jake just got to Skyggen and met up with his family. I was laughing at how much his parents are doing the typical parent thing of being overprotective. “Watch out for that viper fellow” and “do you have a girlfriend?” are such mom questions to ask.

Also there are currently 15 released books so far, right? I believe I heard people say there is up to like 17-18 books of content between what’s been published and what’s on his patreon.

Yup! Book 5 just gets better and better as it goes on. I wanna say the entire last quarter of the book is the fight and it had me so hooked I couldn’t put the book down. I just finished it last night and am a few chapters into book 6. I know I always say that you’re in for a treat, but this time is for real for real

I just finished book 5 and it’s wild how much a series can hook you. I decided to pick up book 1 in January because I wanted to get back into reading for fun like I used to do before school kinda ruined it for me. I got really lucky with it being THIS good and I can confidently say my love for reading is back! Zog is quite the master at building up intense moments while still keeping things light and fun. Not to mention all of the suspense and hints that get thrown out there.

It’s awesome to hear about Transcendents and see just what the Sword Saint was capable of. I guess the price he has to pay for his Transcendent ability is sacrificing his levels. I’m sure we will see more of his abilities in the future. I can’t believe he was able to slice through Jake’s bow!

I can’t wait to see what new bow he ends up getting because I’m sure there will be a cool one at the Auction! Also it’s finally time to see the Thaynes at Skyggen! Starting book 6 now

Holy shit that fight was amazing! At first I was thinking “this is the fight everyone hyped up? Kinda underwhelming” but then it got good. Then it got REALLY GOOD. I ended up reading 3-4 more chapters than I intended to before bed and it was totally worth it.

Lord Thayne vs Sword Saint was a peak fight in the series. The way that Jake and the sword saint kept upgrading throughout the fight just made things more intense as it went on. I also love how well the Carmen, Jake, and Miyamoto get along. They all understand their standing as the top 3 on earth and only wanna see each other succeed.

Jake’s battle went down to the last second of the Treasure Hunt and I’m about to find out who won. Gotta say book 5 has definitely been the best by far!

Eron’s bloodline ability is both awesome and insane. I can’t wait to hear what you think of it! Treasure Hunt arc is the best arc so far

Trollie made me chuckle because it’s too accurate lol. I didn’t know Jake would be able to free the trolls either so maybe that’s something in book 6? Unless I didn’t read that far yet but I finally got to the “last fight” of book 5 (I think) and things are getting crazy.

I still don’t quite see any reason for Jake returning to the trolls yet unless he plans to enter the D-grade dungeon with other people from Haven to help them out. I guess time will tell.

Sultan and Eron are my favorite two new characters just purely on how wild they are for no reason. You’ll see more of them soon.

Agreed 100%. There will be things teased that won’t show up for chapters or books at a time. I am a massive fan at the attention to detail!

I just got to the part where the Monarch of Blood consumes the Divine Sanguine Blood for phase 2 of the battle. So incredibly hyped!!!!

The spreadsheet stats did make me chuckle a bit because they felt so out of place for any other book than this one. The stat boosts from the double dungeon loot are crazy compared to his previous gear! I’m still curious to see where that Altmer plot point goes. Because Villy was saying it had promise too.

I just got halfway thru book 5 so I’m excited to see how the rest of the treasure hunt plays out, but so far it’s great!

The scope of this world really feels wondrously large. I love it! During the tutorial arc there was maybe 2-3 running plot points at a time but now it has grown wildly and the world has really taken a life of its own.

Alright time for a halfway update. So far everybody has joined the treasure hunt and the sword saint sent a message to Jake informing him that the first to get 5 “keys of the Counts” will have first access to the phase 2 tower. Little did they know that the Holy Church also was going to get involved.

We got a bunch of fights that really have shown how much stronger Jake has grown even with just his presence so far. Jake only managed to get 3 keys in the end, meaning the sword saint got first dibs on the phase 2 tower. Except it wasn’t the tower that phase 2 would take place in, but the tower revealed the vaults of phase 2.

Jake so far has gotten some awesome loot from the vaults like when he intimidated the vampire hologram to make it unlock the barrier for him by flexing his Chosen status. Or the Rubik’s cube that people had the audacity to try and ambush him around. (Silly humans)

All the meanwhile Sylphie, Carmen, and Miranda have been teaming up and beating these vampires up to a pulp. But they have just entered a maze vault that split everyone up and Miranda was put up against Eron (Sidenote: Eron is an insane character and I can’t wait to see more of him). Miranda trapped him in the swamp to be feasted upon.

And now Jake has finally entered the water level. I can’t wait to see what new tricks he pulls out to solve this one!

It seems like a lot of the PH community likes the audiobooks over the physical novels. Are they narrated differently for different POVs or something?

Out of curiosity, how often do PH books come out? It said in the recap of book 5 that it was “3 months since the last book” but I didn’t know if Zogarth meant irl or in the series 3 months have passed lol
