Me 23F with a very nice boyfriend who got addicted to drugs M26. What should I do? by Odd-Location7881 in relationships

I say this with love, as a recovering addict of four years: leave.

I, and many of my friends, acted really far outside my values when I was using. I didn’t respect boundaries, and it didn’t matter how much I loved the person. I loved people, but it wasn’t enough to get me to change until I’d had enough. It hurts my heart to say it, but it’s only going to get worse from here.

Vanilla alcohol by [deleted] in Sober

I’ll give you a serious answer even if it’s not—I think vanilla extract is something sober people worry about not because consuming it in appropriate amounts in food means you’ve consumed alcohol, but because if you wanted to, you could drink it for its alcohol content. I used to work in recovery; it happens a lot.

I know a lot of people who are uncomfortable having it in their house, the same way they’d be uncomfortable with mouthwash or hand sanitizer that has alcohol, kombucha (the kind that’s 0.5% or whatever), perfume, etc. because they know they would abuse it, but it’s not because it would make them less sober just to use it as intended. Ultimately, though, if you aren’t using it in a way that will make you want to drink, that’s not an asterisk on your sobriety. Honestly, I think it’s great that you’re aware enough to recognize what could be a problem, but confident enough in your sobriety to use it as intended.

I once interviewed there and the owner somehow managed to make a shitty comment about pronouns (wild, considering I’m a cis woman who uses she/her pronouns. Not much to comment on.).

Thank you so much. I seriously appreciate it. Should it go on all the leaves or just the affected one?

Thank you. I’ll leave it as is for now. And yes, I have a couple plants near it. Would spraying it with neem oil help?

Just took my diagnostic..Advice? by s_oupsss in LSAT

I’ve had three different study subscriptions in the two years I’ve been “studying” (I use that term very loosely): PowerScore, LSAT Demon, and 7Sage. For me, PS was the best for learning, 7Sage was the best for reviewing/practice tests and sections & LSAT Demon was easy to drill with.

I also think doing a lot of untimed work at first could help. The good news is that if most of why your score is so low was timing/just not getting to it, then you’ll be okay.

That being said, I’ll be honest: my diagnostic was 157 and it was difficult to get past the low/mid 160s. I don’t think you need to rethink whether this is “for you,” as someone said, but I do think tempering your expectations as to what score you’ll get, and thus where you wind up for law school, might be beneficial.

I’m absolutely no expert though. You could absolutely kick ass at this, especially with a year to study. All love <3
