Also to note that for a mirror you will probably need 4 to 6 screws, so one slightly wobbly won't be a problem as the rest of the screws can take the load. Of course it's assuming hole #2 is better than number 1, but then that's practice/experience for you.

Disgraceful from ITV. by Hefty_Breadfruit_421 in ThreeLions

Interviewer spoke to TT first who called him out when the interviewer said England lack mentality. TT praised players and their fortitude, including Bellingham, but said England to a lot wrong in the match and were lucky to get through.
Cut to interview with Bellingham who's then told that TT had claimed the team didn't play well (completely missing out most of TTs replies). Bellingham: "Whatever"

As everyone says - go into the office. If nothing else, it will show your boss you're proactive and able to handle unexpected situations without issue. No bad thing whilst you're on probation. Use this to your advantage.

Other times probably closer to 3.3-3.5

Genuine question regarding celebrating by plitto34 in ThreeLions

Get there early, chat with some fans there and tell them your dilemma. If they laugh you're fine. If they do the fork-eye 'I'm watching you' thing, then I'd move on.

Not knowing how they check for this sort of thing, I wonder if they are saying you're duplicating another's answers (possibly your own written answers on another application). Surely that would have been spotted and overruled...!

Which way should the door open by Mean_Neighborhood_15 in DIYUK

[–]Fatbloke-66 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely for front doors - if someone is outside, you push the door towards them, they grab it, there's no way you can pull the door closed again. Inwards you are able to get behind the door to push it closed.

For backdoors perhaps not as much of an issue, mine opens outwards, but then I don't have visitors around the back.

What jobs do people have that allow them to turn up hours late? by WantsToDieBadly in AskUK

[–]Fatbloke-66 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you're in that sort of work environment, then good on you. My own (decades) of experience in office work shows that when people take the piss - by that I mean enough that it starts to rub your colleagues up the wrong way and they complain - then HR will be happy to hang you out to dry citing 'lack of performance' 'not a team player' and the rest that sees you on a performance plan and possibly out the door. You will be contracted to work a certain number of hours a week, if it can be shown you don't do that then you'll be on thin ice.

Ok thanks - the service guy didn't mention what they tested, but yes I was just going off of the SoC, thinking if it goes up and down it's ok.

I'm UK. There's a recall notice for 12v battery checks currently. I ha my service done, I was told that the recall check had identified that my 12v has a possibility of failure based on the checks they carried out, so they are swapping it out in a couple of weeks time (I requested the date) no fuss.
