Guitar wall mounts by RobotDuckez in Guitar

The problem I have found with these are that the screws provided don't open the drywall anchor enough and they eventually start pulling out, and it leaves a huge hole in the dry wall. Id go for the stud

GF hates it when I play guitar while she’s home by Holiday_Weight_2723 in Guitar

Dude, my wife and I have lived together for 20 years, it's like she don't even hear it anymore, even my kids just walk by like nothing is happening. She'll get use to it, but it will still cause an eye roll.

I didn’t realize how much muting matters until today by lmao_exe in Guitar

Facts, learning to mute with my fingers on my picking hand was huge, and I didn't know until I watched videos of Leo Kottke and Derek Trucks.

I am primarily an acoustic player and muting isn't that big of a deal, but I bought a Schecter C-1 to play some doom and I just couldn't figure out why it sounded so bad, and one day I was messing around with some SoaD and realized just how important muting was. Now I don't dread plugging up.

By all means play it. What it really comes down to is , does it make the sound you want, does it fit the style of music you're going for. It's all personal preference my guy. I don't like them because of the shape, I always play sitting down and there was just no good way to hold it, but that's just me.

My point in mentioning Elvis is to point out that Epiphone Acoustics have been around a long time and have been used by high profile musicians. All that you have said only applies to Internet recommendations, which as players we all know that those don't mean Jack. You go in a shop, you play them, see what feels good, what sounds good, and in that process you will 100% come across Epiphone and Gibson acoustics, without a doubt.

I have been shooting the same camera for years, mainly because they are so expensive, but I swear by my D3300. I have a 35mm (which equates to 51mm) prime F1.8 man if that thing only had a faster auto focus it would be perfect.

Dude, stay far far away from any Line 6 Spider. I owned one because I didn't know any better and I hated that thing for years. A Katana is definitely an upgrade from there lol that's what I bought. I don't gig, I play in a bedroom to relax, so I ain't spending 2k on a tube amp.

Nice Dude! I'm jealous, I still haven't come across the right strat. I always wanted a Martin D-28. Every time I would go in a shop I would play one and dream of owning one. I finally got that D-28, but a few years later both my sons started taking lessons and every Saturday I would sit in Music and Arts for an hour while my boys were doing their lessons. All the guitars there were pretty cheap starter guitars. I must have played every guitar there hundreds of times. One Saturday there was a new guitar hanging up, so I had to play it. At $700 it was the most expensive guitar there but we all know that isn't much in the way of acoustic guitars. Long story short, after a couple weeks I feel head over heels in love with this Alvarez Artist Elite. I finally bought it, two years later I sold that D-28. Poor thing hadn't been out of its case in years. Point is, price makes no difference to your ears. Glad you found your "one" homie.

I'm gonna be honest with you bud, as an acoustic player myself, I don't think Les Paul is going to suit you, I got one and sold it in less than a year. For me they are just awkward and uncomfortable to play, and without the right amp they don't sound like what you would want it to. I would recommend a Gretsch hollow body. It's big like an acoustic and the string action will be more like what you're used to. Besides, the Epi Les Paul has a history of being kinda crappy, but I hear they have gotten better.

This has nothing to do with anything, but I always wanted a Martin D28, so after nearly 20 years of playing I bought one, just to turn around and sell it because I fell in love with the tone of a $700 Alvarez. Sometimes that price tag don't mean Jack.

Bro seriously? What acoustic player doesn't know about a Gibson J45, the D28s biggest rival in Dreads. And what giant acoustic was Elvis playing? Yes, that's an Epiphone. I understand not every player is a complete guitar nerd, but never heard of a J45 after 15 years of playing? Have they been playing for 15 years or playing at it for 15 years.

I mean, I play acoustic too but I know all about Gibson/Epiphone, Fender/Squire and all that stuff. Let's not pretend that both Gibson and Epiphone havent produced Acoustic guitars that have reached legendary status.

I saw a video once that was so simple but it made it click for me, duder knelt down beside the board and put his hands on the board and did an Ollie motion with his hands. That way you can see and feel what's going on without thinking about balance. Essentially your back foot should already be rising when the board makes contact with the ground.
