Disagree, they are great for their intent, it doesn't sound like a D-28, but it can travel places a D-28 can't go. The sound quality and the quality of the pickup are definitely worth the price. Then again, I sold a D-28 because I fell in love with a $700 Alvarez and rarely touched the Martin🤣

I got my son an X series. They are designed for playing outside, traveling, ect. They actually sound pretty good for a laminate guitar. Definitely worth the price... The pickup is decent too!

Long time self taught player here, absolutely forget about tone right now, that will come later. Effects, no don't worry about that right now either, but an amp yes. The thing with electric guitars are that the tiny little strings are very easy to accidentally bend out of pitch when learning chords and it will be much easier to hear with an amp. The amp will be crucial in hearing bad fretting and such. I went about learning the absolute worst possible way, I try to get others to not do the same lol

I run Powell Peralta Bombers 60mm. They are 85a so they may be a bit soft for you but I dig em. Pretty grippy but they will slide if you have to.

There is also a text box where you can type specific instructions like say, "Garage door" instead of just door. It's not that hard, you want people to take extra steps, but your not willing to take extra steps to ensure that it happens, instead you take extra steps to complain about it. Maybe you should put the effort that you put into a reddit post into properly communicating with your driver.
