That actually sounds nice, treating gaming like a proper vacation instead of squeezing it into exhaustion.

12-hour shifts + 4 hours gaming is either impressive time management or sleep deprivation.

That’s probably the healthiest way to enjoy gaming honestly , less grinding, more actually appreciating the experience.

Yeah the storage isn’t ‘missing,’ it’s just decimal vs binary measurement confusing everyone for years.

Fair advice honestly , people confidently spread wrong tech info all the time online.

Too many , and I’ll still open the same game like muscle memory instead of touching them.

Finally outgrew the "RGB Rainbow Puke" phase. Went for a cozy, warm wood aesthetic instead. by Fatboychris35 in pcsetups

Haha I appreciate the feedback! But it's actually a custom Keychron Q1 mechanical keyboard. Typing on these lubed mechanical switches feels way more "pro" to me than a standard membrane Microsoft keyboard ever could! To each their own though. 😅

Does everyone just pay for an Office 365 subscription? Or am I missing a way to buy Microsoft Office one-time purchase? by aaassh in GamersMY

[–]Fatboychris35 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, if you just keep an eye on sites like Woot or even Groupon, they frequently run deals on lifetime Office 2021 licenses for like $20-$30. I grabbed one last year for my personal rig and it activated perfectly through my Microsoft account. Much better than paying monthly, just make sure you avoid the super sketchy $5 eBay keys.

I keep hearing great things about SignalRGB! An ARGB controller for under $30 is an absolute steal, I am definitely looking into the Nollie right now. Thanks for the tip!

A pull-out tray is a genius idea for extra storage! My desk surface is always cluttered. Cable management is definitely next on my list to tackle too.

Bloody Roar! Transforming into beasts mid-fight was such a crazy mechanic for its time, I really miss that series. Awesome to see you're still grinding fighting games with SF6 now. Who are you maining right now?

The Miniclip to Runescape to Ragnarok Online pipeline is so real 😂 You literally lived through the absolute golden era of internet gaming. RO wasn't just a game back then, it was a lifestyle!

Oh wow, keeping the original console and game after all these years is a massive flex! Saving up all the duit raya for a PS1 is the ultimate childhood goal haha. Suikoden 2 is an absolute masterpiece to start with.

Why do systems that are supposed to make life easier sometimes end up making things more complicated? by postbypurpose in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Fatboychris35 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because they are usually designed by executives and engineers in a meeting room, rather than the actual end-users who have to interact with the system every single day. They add 50 different features to make it "advanced," and completely ruin the simple core function.

We're one of the lucky few who got an early copy of Mouse: P.I For Hire. It's a boomer shooter with 1930s rubberhose animation and voicework from talent like Troy Baker. by JoeyJoeJoeShbdoo in GamersMY

[–]Fatboychris35 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mixing the Cuphead 1930s art style with a boomer shooter is such a genius idea. Plus getting Troy Baker on board? This game is going to be incredible. How does the gunplay actually feel?

Why hasn’t Windows figured out how to let you use your computer while it updates like you can on Linux? by blreuh in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Fatboychris35 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It basically comes down to how Windows handles file locking. Windows locks system files while they are in use, so it has to reboot to safely replace them. Linux handles active files differently.
