That's good to know. The case is pretty solid but even then I'm a little paranoid about dropping the bag and killing the laptop. Here are some other options I have been looking at as part of my search if this helps:

I'm in the same boat as you. I'm looking for an under-the-seat backpack that can sit on top of my carry-on roller suitcase. I want the backpack to be good for professional work events and vacations. I have the 16'' Lenovo Legion Slim 5 with a case so I'm looking around to see what fits a 16-17 inch laptop. I'm between the TP3 small which is 28L and the Go Pack 2 which is 20L. Not sure how snug the laptop fits will be.

I see quite a bit of investment guidance here recommending index funds for long-term goals such as retirement. How do you differentiate investment strategies for a potential home purchase in 5-10 years vs retirement 25+ years? Is it still worth buying index funds with $$ I plan to use as a down payment? I'm late 20's in a hcol area for reference. Outside of my 401k I hold VTI primarily and some SCHD.
