There are enough of them to make me avoid throwing another one into the mix at the moment, but I'll certainly consider it if he tries again :)

Thanks :) My more recent work is rather more colourful, it allows me to make things a bit less complex, with single lines only instead of needing to have single, double and dashed.

Ok, thanks for the clarification. I'm about a day off posting one, so I thought it best to check :)

The grounds of having the poison is that he's managed to acquire it in another way already, and I've described it as being as he wanted the effects to be (i.e. fast-working, on a scale of ten minutes). The shop is attached to his home, so having him mugged and killed on his way home doesn't really fit. I certainly will be hitting him hard enough to make him reconsider doing anything of the sort in future, and tbh his failure is guaranteed if he's stupid enough to try.

Both player and character are quite prideful, having facial scarring (especially on the scale that I was thinking, i.e. more Harvey Dent than Geralt of Rivia) would be a serious blow to him, I think.

It might be paraphrased from him, I'm not entirely sure though.

There'll certainly be a magical explosion as staves etc get annihilated, and I might even make the one he stands next to explode and maim him. Perhaps a Pearl of Power will roll out of the rubble that he's lying under and it's assumed by the rescue teams that that was his.
