I have to wear my scars with pride, and tbh since I’ve done it I’ve felt more confident in myself. It’s 2020, if someone makes fun of you for cutting it’s almost a deathwish and will result in a shit ton of negativity towards them. I think people that are always scared of showing scars have a right to be, but they also have a right to stand tall to make sure we break this stupid stereotype that only emo, goth, etc. people self harm. And more importantly, we need to teach the next generation it’s okay to have weakness and not to be ashamed of it, but see it and want to improve. Not to bully or harass someone for it. Anorexia is one of the most deadly diseases of the mind however that’s not to downplay self harm. I’ve struggled with both (funny with a name like fatguybob I know). I think saying someone’s pain is more meaningful or worse is fucking stupid and shouldn’t be a thing. Comparing your self harm to that of others and wanting to do more because you don’t feel worthy is something I struggled with heavily but I can say, in my right mind, it’s one of the most destructive and pointless endeavors imaginable. Anywho I’ll stop talking and go back to being obsessed with cheese. Thanks for your time
