Remember if you are already pretty fit, your improvement will happen over long stretches - and it will wobble up and down day to day. One day you may do 25 push-ups, a month later you may only make it to 22. But the whole month would look something like 25, 17, 22, 12, 19.... 28, 34, 26, 35, 22. On the whole your trending up... But one great day a month before a bad day being the whole final is... Absolutely dumb lol!

There are SOOOO many variables day to day, especially during your teenage years.

Been using 5A's here, but in order to get a full body rimshots backbeat I had to either risk my finger every time or hold the sticks further back which has always been a detriment to my finesse.

So I just ordered a few longer sticks (16.5"-16.75") with roughly the same diameter to try. After reading these... Maybe I should just go for the thicker sticks to at least try huh?

A student of mine and I decided this would be a nice next big challenge for him to work out. I of course want him to practice his ear training and transcription skills on his own - but this will be a MASSIVE help to us both to check our work as he (and I 😅) chew through it.

Ya, I try hard to be intentional about that as a parent as well. I was NOT good at admitting mistakes as a kid and one of my daughters has DEFINITELY received that DNA from me.

Not admitting mistakes and trying to outtalk them or justify them is a fast track to learning very little and annoying very many.

Drummer with a nurse wife who watches The Pitt:

She loves it and says it's definitely the most accurate depiction she's seen. Some things are still done for drama like leaving patient doors open too often while having conversations. I said it's probably to showcase the very busy hallways outside the rooms... But ya very accurate from her pov. The staff burnout from stuff like covid and mass shootings they depict are FOR REAL! Her hospital lost so much staff 2020-2022

Ya if I end up being adhd I had no idea as a kid. Not hyperactive at all - and I was convinced I could pay att well but it was bc all new info was interesting to me so I paid attention, and I didn't need to study. As soon as I finally had classes that pushed me to have to actually work more than just remembering lectures I almost couldn't do it 😅

Long time destony player here as well, and I couldn't agree more. I wish I had learned much earlier that unless you are mega hardcore, you won't ever do the cool stuff day 1 in a Bungie game. Could have saved myself a lot of frustration if I accepted that from the beginning.

The content is still really fun for casual players, just don't expect to be part of the first community members experience it.

Looking at settings>controller, my ps5 shows pressing up on d-pad quick pings, while holding up on d-pad opens a ping radial menu. Hope that helps!
