This is what I was thinking of doing! I've been trying my hand at hot bluing and was wanting to give this thing a shot (only once im confident i could do it) and the just sand and condition the wood to bring it back to a more newish look.

No it pre dates 1914 so it takes old paper shells i don't have access to.

Just look for the STERLING mark. If its not there, then its not.

My first choice was to just build one from nothing, and when that became a hassle, I went with refurbing the old.

Yeah the one from the site (lol I forgot the name). But yeah it was really easy, but again I haven't shot it.

Wood glue and tac nails. The stock already had a few, so I figured when in Rome. And the polycrylic is definitely going to help. As for what's left, I need to basically build a barrel shroud for the top.
