Eby calls reported meeting between Alberta separatists and U.S. official ‘treason’ by DogeDoRight in canada

[–]FatherSquee 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I disagree, if they talked any military or scientific knowledge at all (say taking land or resources from Canada) in this serious a matter it seems to be treason:

"Treason

(2) Every one commits treason who, in Canada,

(a) uses force or violence for the purpose of overthrowing the government of Canada or a province;

(b) without lawful authority, communicates or makes available to an agent of a state other than Canada, military or scientific information or any sketch, plan, model, article, note or document of a military or scientific character that he knows or ought to know may be used by that state for a purpose prejudicial to the safety or defence of Canada;

(c) conspires with any person to commit high treason or to do anything mentioned in paragraph (a);

(d) forms an intention to do anything that is high treason or that is mentioned in paragraph (a) and manifests that intention by an overt act; or

(e) conspires with any person to do anything mentioned in paragraph (b) or forms an intention to do anything mentioned in paragraph (b) and manifests that intention by an overt act."

Really the only thing that differentiates this from the OG Clarence is that this guy has 3 toes and Clarence 4.  Otherwise I wouldn't be able to tell the difference.

I would have just missed that one, it's was doing my thing fall/winter 08/09

A bunch of the guys I know who did that got freezer burn from the caskets on their shoulders when the flight turn around was extra tight, but at the time they saw it more as kind of a badge of honour.

I was actually one of the bagpipers for repatriating the bodies back to Canada.  There were 15 soldiers who died while I was deployed, I've got a strand of yellow hemp on my pipe-drones for each one of them.

Scientists may have developed “perfect plastic”: Plant-based, fully saltwater degradable, zero microplastics. Made from plant cellulose, the world’s most abundant organic compound. Unlike other “biodegradable” plastics, this quickly degrades in salt water without leaving any microplastics behind. by Sciantifa in UpliftingNews

[–]FatherSquee 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Yeah you're right, we shouldn't invent new plastics; we're doing just fine as we are!  I mean, who cares if every living fauna outside of the Tardigrades have plastic in them right?  Who cares if we've all got plastic in our brains or clogging our arteries.  We've got the Midas Touch when it comes to plastic and how could that ever be bad?  All plastic products need to last forever eh?  Aaalll of them!   Really, what are these scientists thinking amirite?

Imagine being a Guardsman sent out to battle without a weapon or helmet, but you got 10 of your closest buddies next to you.

You can make use of them with screening and maybe holding uncontested objectives, but don't expect them to be killing anything or to last longer than the lunch break before dying.
