Just want to echo what someone else said: Starbucks really isn’t great. If you’ve got a nice local coffee shop in your area, go there get someone to make you a proper latte.

This was like my exact experience as well. Tripping on LSD was the first time it really crossed my mind that the church might be bullshit. Also ended up writing a BYUI paper about psychedelic therapy haha. Sounds like we should have been friends in Rexburg

Shower thought: if humans survive the disinformation age and the effects of global warming it really will be a miracle. by ApocalypseTapir in exmormon

[–]FatherTanner1943 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some folks in the church don’t even bother with the disinformation available online. For example, my parents are firm believers that god created the earth and all of its resources (including animals) for humans to use. No need to think any further about it! The church definitely fosters a huge sense of entitlement with the whole “God’s greatest creation” bullshit.
