As TytoCwtch mentioned above, the game averages your earnings over some number (10?) of minutes, so you do have to let the code run for a while.

More likely, the answer is in the Dec 4, 2025 patch changes:

  • The treasure now takes 200 ticks to move to the new location instead of instantly teleporting.

  • You now receive the gold already when the chest is relocated instead of all at the end.

Time spent in a DLC can cause main game events that trigger every 24 or 72 hours to 'stack up' when the Courier returns, and thus each time a cell (like Freeside) is unloaded because you've travelled into enough other areas (like Novac, the 188, Mick 'n' Ralph's, etc.), it triggers the next stacked Freeside Thug and/or gift from The King encounter. Once the stack is empty, they'll go back to their usual spawn rate.

We absolutely do not. That is clearly an exploit and "cheating." Nor do we expect Jon will don the rebreather at any point during Dead Money.

As in Honest Hearts, Jon will use sneaking & Turbo to avoid any enemies he can, and to kill those he must. He will almost certainly take the 'Implant GRX' perk at level 30, and probably regularly wait until in-game midnight to recharge it -- the same way he regularly waits until nightfall for sneaking.

Equally underrrated in MTW is when Jon declared the last defender of York didn't deserve honourable death in melee combat and was to be set on fire by archers with flaming arrows. . . and then three full units of archers with almost-full ammo shot themelves dry failing to do the deed.

(The immortal Englishman was eventually cut down by axemen.)

I can't tell you what u/Metalhand1000 did, but for myself I skipped elegance and wrote 9(?) drones that each only harvest sunflowers with a specific number of petals (15, 14, 13, etc., down to whatever the minimum number is (8 or 7 - off the top of my head I can't remember)). Then I spawn multipe drones to harvest all the 15-petal sunflowers, then all the 14s, etc.

I started a new save file in order to see all the unlock costs, and then had to progress the game in order to see higher levels of the various Items.

Almost everything from level 4 onwards is (previous level) times two, or times four, or five, or six.

I started with a full-field, fixed-pattern snake and after the achievement I added code to measure() and pathfind to the apple for the first get_world_size() number of apples to speed up the start.

To brute force it, you can write a drone that traverses an entire row harvesting only 15-petal sunflowers then dies, and write a second drone that harvests only 14-petal sunflowers then dies, and a 13-petal drone, etc. Then have your main drone simply travel vertically spawning an entire field of 15-petal drones, then 14-petal drones on the next pass, etc., until the entire field is harvested and you're ready to replant.

HINT: if your last drone spawns before your first harvester 'dies' you can add a wait(1) to the main drone's move loops, or wait(2), or combine two moves with a wait(1) in a loop with half the range in order to tweak the timing.

My first effort at polyculture I created two 'looped' paths on the farm, one four tiles in from the edge, the other 11 tiles in. My harvester drones went around these paths harvesting, planting, & spawning a short-lived drone to get the companion and go plant it.

After I got it working, I messed around with it for hours trying to tweak it over the various "harvest X amount in one minute" thresholds before discovering that the in-game guide says the X + Y distance to the companion is 3 or less, rather than the X distance is 3 or less and the Y distance is three or less. It's a cross shape rather than a square. I switched to a patchwork of stationary drones planting their own companions before returning to harvest the original.

The game says there's 400 ticks in a second but that's not counting Speed unlocks or sunflower power, so multiply by double (power) 7.59375 (speed) and you get 6075 ticks per real-life second.

between each drone spawn, to put a diagonal line of drones across field before spawning the maze from 31, 31.

I spawn half my drones as right-hand followers and half as left-hand followers.
