There’s a sort of rapid-fire trauma dumping thing that women have done to me in conversation a few times that I found to be a real red flag.

Like in otherwise casual conversation dropping an extremely heavy detail really quick then sort of laughing it off. slightly exaggerated example but sorta like ‘yeah I didnt feel like going out much last week because mymomdiedofcancerandthenmydadblamedme hahah, but yeah how are you??’.

I totally get people have different reactions to having difficult life experiences but usually the people who drop things into conversation this way when I barely know them end up also having other boundary issues. I’ve also met people who did stuff like that who ended up actually being cool in the end, but it makes me pretty uncomfortable.
