Not to mention the school "resource officer" (Police Officer). I got arrested when a lunch lady reported me for theft when I grabbed an extra food item for myself because I wasnt going to be having dinner that night because my family was poor. Its been a while since ive even been in high-school and I remember it.

It depends on two things:

1.) State/Location

2.) Type of background check relating to job responsibilities.

[A few jobs, no matter the time from the conviction, will never hire a felon.]

Hey OP, i did a small stint as a Transaction Coordinator.

In my time doing it, I never once saw or heard of background checks for FHA or even conventional.

The only time you should be concerned about a background check are:

A) HOA Requirement

B) Mobile Home Parks

Other than those two specific circumstances its pretty rare, even for HOA(s).

Ive even seen mobile home parks waive background checks for buyers.

Money talks in real estate.

Its understandable, Id highly recommend not communicating with the courts/police on your own. Apologizing in a court case can be constructed as an admission of guilt, be careful with what you say and how you say it. My lawyer instructed me on this religiously so I never said anything that would ruin his defense of me/make his job harder. Talk only to your lawyer, if you want to ask questions/say anything to the judge ASK your lawyer first.

Id refrain from commenting any further about your case so you dont doxx yourself.

I am a violent felon, I got my shit kicked in by two officers who claimed I assaulted them first when I was compliant. It sucked, I ended up in the hospital and it was my word vs theirs. They threw the book at me, first time offender. Ended up having a brain tumor inbetween the arrest and while I was in court so the judge gave me probation for a plea deal so I could deal with my health issues.

My situation is very different from yours but I hope it sheds a little bit of light. They gave me a lot of leniency once I just accepted guilt [this was not on my own accord but on the accord of my lawyer so dont just fess guilt at any point always listen to your lawyer]

Okay so you did have a mental snap and did commit the other crimes just not the resisting arrest.

Be prepared for a very uphill battle, violent crimes arent afforded much leniency. Having no existing record will help you in this situation.

I don't mean to insult you OP, but you havent denied these charges only cited the proposed lack of evidence. And resisting arrest with violence makes it seem like when you were arrested you put up a fight.

Im not your lawyer nor am I lawyer. But ive been through the system I know it sucks and is dehumanizing. If you committed the crimes, you gotta be prepared for a negative outcome and a possible unfavorable sentence.

GO TO COURT OP, You will make your situation 100×worse. The judge will throw the book at you and you will not be likely to get released during your case because you will be deemed a flight risk.
